NMT Spherical Roller Bearings: Salt Spray Resistant & Seawater Corrosion Resistant, Adapt to Marine and Coastal Working Conditions

 

Coastal industrial bases, offshore operation equipment, port handling machinery and marine aquaculture equipment are in high-salt fog, high-humidity and seawater splash corrosive environments all year round. The salt ions in the air and seawater have strong corrosiveness. Ordinary spherical roller bearings are lack of professional anti-corrosion protection measures. After a short period of operation, they are prone to surface oxidation and rust, internal metal corrosion, raceway pitting and peeling. Corrosion will increase bearing friction, reduce rotation accuracy, and cause jamming and failure in severe cases. The product abandons the single anti-rust treatment of ordinary bearings, and adopts marine-grade multi-layer composite anti-corrosion protection system including overall passivation treatment, anti-salt fog bottom coating and super-hard anti-corrosion surface coating. The layered protective structure can effectively isolate the erosion of salt ions, humid air and splashing seawater, and fundamentally prevent electrochemical corrosion and oxidation rust of bearing metal structures.
In terms of material optimization, NMT selects high-purity anti-rust alloy bearing steel, which has natural anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation properties, and can resist long-term salt fog erosion and seawater immersion. The upgraded fully sealed anti-corrosion sealing structure prevents external salt-containing humid gas from entering the bearing interior, protects the internal rolling elements and lubricating grease from corrosion and deterioration, and keeps the internal lubrication system clean and stable for a long time. The special marine anti-corrosion lubricating grease has strong anti-emulsification and anti-corrosion ability, and will not deteriorate or fail after contacting seawater and salt fog.
After professional salt spray test and seawater immersion corrosion test verification, NMT marine anti-corrosion bearings have excellent environmental adaptability, no rust, no pitting corrosion and no performance attenuation after long-term exposure to coastal and marine corrosive environments. While ensuring anti-corrosion performance, they retain high load capacity and self-aligning stability, adapting to harsh marine heavy-load operation conditions.
