NMT EV Drive Motor Bearings High-Speed Low-Noise Long-Life EV Motor Bearings
Hardened gear reducers, planetary reducers and spiral bevel gearboxes, as core transmission components, are widely matched with mining, building materials, construction machinery, conveying equipment and metallurgical production lines. They operate under harsh working conditions: alternating radial and axial combined loads, continuous axial thrust generated by gear meshing, instantaneous impact during equipment start and stop, long-term immersion in circulating lubricating oil inside housings, metal debris produced by gear wear, frequent speed changes and uninterrupted continuous operation. Reducers serve as the power hub of the whole production line. Once bearings fail, it will cause dislocation of gear meshing, gear tooth breakage, abnormal noise and temperature rise of the housing. In severe cases, transmission locking and shutdown will occur. Disassembly inside the reducer is complicated, and hoisting maintenance of the whole machine takes a long time, directly leading to production line stagnation. Ordinary tapered roller bearings cannot adapt to the complex stress environment inside gearboxes, becoming a common pain point for equipment manufacturers and end users. Continuous axial thrust is generated during gear meshing, together with radial loads to form bidirectional composite stress. Ordinary bearings have limited load capacity and are prone to unilateral raceway pitting and roller fatigue peeling after long-term operation. Instant impact loads occur during equipment startup and load mutation, aggravating bearing stress concentration and accelerating precision attenuation. Tiny metal debris peeling off gears during long-term operation mixes with lubricating oil to form abrasive medium, continuously eroding raceways and rolling elements. Lubricating oil continuously scours sealing structures inside the housing. Low-quality seals tend to have oil seepage and leakage. Loss of lubricant further aggravates dry wear of bearings. Improper bearing clearance matching will lead to gear play and sharp increase of meshing noise if clearance is too large, or excessive operating temperature and premature failure if clearance is too small. The overhaul cost of reducers is high, and frequent bearing replacement greatly increases the full-life operation and maintenance cost of equipment.
Focusing on transmission supporting field for industrial reducers and gearboxes, Japan NMT specially develops heavy-duty tapered roller bearings dedicated for reducers and gearboxes to solve industry pain points of ordinary reducer bearings such as insufficient bidirectional load capacity, eccentric wear easily caused by meshing axial thrust, abrasive erosion induced by metal debris, oil leakage under continuous flushing of lubricating oil and short service life under long-term continuous operation. Taking advantage of bidirectional linear load-bearing structure of tapered rollers, combined with five core upgrades including high-toughness refined bearing alloy steel, oil-resistant wear-resistant composite sealing, super-finishing strengthening grinding technology for raceways, impurity-resistant long-life lubrication and precise clearance matching for transmission conditions, it fully adapts to harsh working conditions of continuous combined loads, meshing thrust, impact loads and lubricating oil immersion of various gearboxes. It fundamentally solves problems including eccentric load wear of bearings, axial play, abrasive wear by metal particles and failure caused by oil leakage, stabilizes gear transmission precision, reduces gear damage risks and effectively extends service life of reducers.
Core Product Advantages
1. Bidirectional combined load bearing withstands axial thrust from gear meshing: Adopting tapered roller linear contact structure, it bears high-strength radial loads and unidirectional axial thrust simultaneously with uniform load distribution in contact areas. It effectively balances axial force generated by operation of helical gears and bevel gears, restrains excessive unilateral raceway wear, precisely controls gear axial play and ensures stable gear meshing.
2. High-toughness special bearing steel matrix resists impact and fatigue pitting: Selecting high-purity bearing alloy steel specially for reducer transmission with deep quenching & tempering heat treatments to optimize metallographic structure, improve toughness, surface hardness and pitting resistance. It withstands load fluctuation and start-stop impact and delays raceway fatigue damage and roller peeling.
3. Oil-resistant wear-resistant composite sealing reduces lubricating oil leakage risk: Equipped with exclusive oil-resistant wear-resistant sealing components for gearbox conditions. It resists long-term immersion and scouring of gearbox lubricating oil, anti-swelling and aging in oil liquid, blocks metal debris produced by gear wear from penetrating into bearings, and reduces outward leakage of lubricating oil to maintain stable oil level inside the housing.
4. Super-finished raceway strengthening grinding technology ensures stable transmission and suppresses noise: Micron-level super-finishing grinding is applied on contact surfaces of raceways and rollers to optimize contact profile, reduce friction coefficient, improve oil film formation, cut vibration and meshing abnormal noise during high-speed operation and slow precision attenuation under long-term continuous operation.
5. Customized clearance matching & impurity-resistant lubrication adaptation: Internal clearance is precisely matched according to reducer output torque and operating speed to avoid gear play caused by excessive clearance and excessive temperature rise caused by insufficient clearance. It adapts to circulating oil lubrication environment of gearboxes, resists abrasive wear brought by metal debris and extends equipment maintenance intervals.
