Thrust bearings are of a separated structure. During installation, it is necessary to distinguish between the shaft ring and the seat ring. The inner diameter of the shaft ring is usually machined and is relatively small. During installation, the shaft ring should be installed onto the shaft first, then the seat ring should be installed onto the bearing housing, and finally the rolling elements and cage components should be installed. When installing, use special tools to evenly transfer the force to the rings, and strictly prohibit directly striking the rolling elements or cage. For bidirectional thrust bearings, ensure that the shaft rings and seat rings of both directions are correctly matched during installation.

 

4.3 Lubrication management suggestions

 

Sealed bearings with pre-filled lubricating grease generally do not require mid-term replenishment of lubricating oil or grease. Open-type thrust bearings need to be replenished with lubricating oil or grease according to the maintenance cycle. The high-speed operation scenarios require strict control of the amount of grease filling - excessive filling will intensify the stirring and heating. For environments that are humid or corrosive, it is recommended to use lubricants that are resistant to hydrolysis and rust prevention.
