Thrust aligning roller bearings are of a separated structure, with the roller retaining ring assembly and the seat ring can be installed separately.

 

The outer ring and the bearing housing hole should not adopt interference fit, and the inner ring and the shaft neck's fit should not be too tight, to avoid changing the bearing contact angle, causing uneven load distribution and excessive temperature rise.

 

Axial clearance can be adjusted by adjusting nuts on the shaft neck, adjusting pads, etc.

 

For high-load and high-speed conditions, when adjusting the clearance, the influence of temperature rise on the axial clearance must be considered, and the reduction amount caused by temperature rise should be estimated.

 

For low-speed and vibration-bearing bearings, no clearance installation or pre-load installation should be adopted.

 

Daily maintenance:

 

Keep the bearing and its surrounding environment clean. Regularly check the lubrication status - oil lubrication is the standard lubrication method for thrust aligning roller bearings. Regularly monitor operating noise and bearing temperature.
