2 Structure & Operating Characteristics
Japan NMT 7000 CD/P4ADGA is a universal matching double-row precision angular contact bearing of 70 extra-small series. The 15° small contact angle balances ultimate high-speed performance and radial load capacity. Integrated inner and outer rings deliver excellent overall rigidity and reduce deformation risk during assembly. Optimized D-type high-load raceway profile improves dynamic load capacity compared with basic versions, suitable for long-term stable light-load high-speed operation.
Supplied as universal matched bearing set containing two precision-matched bearings. Different from fixed pre-assembled bearings, users can select back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem layout freely according to spindle requirements, offering high design flexibility. Factory preset ultra-light preload brings lower rolling resistance and superior thermal performance at high speed, ideal for miniature precision shaft systems prioritizing high rotational speed with small axial load.
Open seal-free design eliminates friction loss from sealing elements, compatible with high-speed oil-air lubrication and standard grease lubrication. No pre-filled lubricant inside; equipment manufacturers can select suitable lubricants according to operating temperature and speed. Compact dimensions (bore 10 mm, outer diameter 26 mm) fit miniature automation equipment, optical instruments and small machining spindles with limited installation space.
3 Core Performance Advantages
1. Universal Free Matching Design: Two precision-paired bearings support three interchangeable layouts on-site to adapt to multiple spindle structural schemes.
2. Ultra-Light Preload Configuration: Low rolling torque and less heat generation at high speed, optimized for high-speed applications.
3. 15° Small Contact Angle Geometry: Excellent high-speed dynamic performance and balanced radial load capacity for continuous high-precision rotary operation.
4. D-Type High-Load Double-Row Two-Point Contact: Double-row bearing design offers stronger composite load resistance and smoother operation than single-row bearings of the same size.
5. P4A Ultra-Precision Grade: Strict control over radial and axial runout to maintain long-term high-precision rotation of optical equipment and miniature machining spindles.
6. Integrated Inner & Outer Rings: High structural integrity resists assembly deformation and sustains precision over long service life.
7. Miniature Compact Size: Small outline facilitates shaft layout inside narrow housing cavities.
4 Typical Application Scenarios
4.1 Miniature High-Speed Precision Spindles: Micro-hole machining spindles, high-speed spindles for small engraving machines, built-in miniature rotary spindle units for laboratory equipment.
4.2 Optical & Precision Inspection Instruments: Rotary mechanisms for optical lenses, rotary fixtures for visual inspection, rotary shaft assemblies of precision measuring instruments.
4.3 Small Automation Equipment: Mini robot joints, small precision indexing turntables, miniature rotary mechanisms for semiconductor transportation.
4.4 Lightweight Small Precision Processing Equipment: Spindles for micro CNC grinding machines, high-speed rotary shafts for small precision textile machinery, rotary components for precision medical devices.
5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines
5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards
P4A high-precision bearings must be assembled in dust-free clean surroundings. Remove burrs, dust and metal debris on shaft journals, housing bores and spacer mating surfaces. Thermal mounting is recommended. Direct impact on raceways and working surfaces is prohibited. Control interference fit properly: excessive interference tends to alter factory preload and cause abnormal temperature rise; insufficient interference leads to outer ring creep and abrasion. The two bearings in one set shall only be used as matched pair; mixing with bearings from other batches is forbidden.
5.2 Matching Layout & Preload Instructions
7000 CD/P4ADGA is factory ultra-light preloaded universal matched bearing unit. Three assembly layouts available as required:
Back-to-back <> : outstanding anti-overturning moment performance, suitable for spindles with overhanging structure;
Face-to-face >< : superior axial positioning accuracy, ideal for short-span precision positioning shaft systems;
Tandem >> : maximized axial load capacity for continuous unidirectional axial load conditions.
Ultra-light preload is optimized for high speed and light axial load. Recheck bearing rating life if sustained heavy axial load exists. Do not grind spacers to modify preload without engineering calculation.
5.3 Lubrication Matching Solutions
No pre-filled lubricant inside bearing. Oil-air circulating lubrication is preferred for maximum speed applications; low-viscosity special grease for high-speed precision bearings can be adopted for regular continuous operation. Mixing different lubricants is forbidden. Thoroughly clean residual old lubricant before replacement.
5.4 Speed Parameter Note
Achievable limit speed refers to corresponding SKF official technical data. Actual operating speed is restricted by load, preload, heat dissipation and lubrication. Maintain sufficient safety margin for speed under continuous full-load operation.
6 Daily Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting
Carry out low-speed no-load trial run after assembly, increase speed gradually, continuously monitor vibration, noise and temperature rise. Formal operation can start only after stable working condition confirmed. Open construction has no built-in dust and coolant protection. External sealing must be installed at shaft end if dust, cutting fluid or moisture exists.
Replenish and replace lubricants regularly according to maintenance schedule to sustain effective oil film on raceways. If continuous abnormal noise, precision drift or overheating occurs during operation, prioritize checking assembly interference, installation layout, foreign particle intrusion and lubrication failure. Avoid severe impact loads which may induce permanent deformation of integrated rings.
