NMT 7002 ACD/P4A Super Precision Angular Contact Ball Bearing | 15x32x9mm Machine Tool Spindle Bearing | 25° Contact Angle High Axial Load Bearing | In-Stock & Customizable

1 Product Overview: High Axial Load Precision Bearing with 25° Contact Angle

NMT 7002 ACD/P4A is a single-row ultra-precision angular contact ball bearing with a 25° contact angle. It belongs to the 7000 series of high-precision angular contact bearings. Unlike the 15° contact angle version, which focuses on achieving the highest rotational speed, the 25° contact angle maintains excellent high-speed performance while significantly enhancing the axial load-bearing capacity. This makes the 7002 ACD/P4A an ideal choice for scenarios that require both high rotational speed and significant axial load, such as machine tool spindles, high-speed motors, precision instruments, and robot joints.

The ACD suffix indicates a 25° contact angle and a high-load D-type design. The 25° contact angle provides much higher axial load-bearing capacity than the 15° version, while maintaining high radial stiffness. The P4A level of precision ensures extremely low radial runout and axial movement during ultra-high-speed operation.

2 Structure and Design Features: High Axial Load Precision Logic

The design of NMT 7002 ACD/P4A embodies a deep understanding of "axial load-bearing" and "precision".

25° Contact Angle - Higher Axial Load-Bearing Capacity. With a contact angle of 25°, it belongs to the large contact angle design, capable of withstanding greater axial loads. The contact angle of machine tool spindle bearings is generally 15° or 25°. The 15° contact angle focuses on higher rotational speed performance, while the 25° contact angle maintains a higher axial load-bearing capacity while maintaining a higher rotational speed, suitable for scenarios with significant axial thrust.

ACD High Load Design. This bearing adopts the ACD type (25° contact angle + high-load D-type design) internal design, optimizing the size and quantity configuration of the rolling elements to achieve high stiffness and high load-bearing capacity within the compact 15×32×9 mm dimensions.

Single-row Angular Contact Structure. The single-row design enables it to withstand both radial loads and unidirectional axial loads, suitable for high-speed rotating scenarios with a fixed axial load direction - this is typical of most machine tool spindles and high-speed motors.

P4A Ultra-Precision Tolerance. P4A level of precision means that the dimensional tolerance, rotational accuracy, and geometric accuracy of the bearing all reach or exceed the requirements of international standards. In ultra-precision processing, every micrometer-level jump of the bearing directly reflects on the surface quality of the workpiece.

General Matching Design. This bearing is designed for single independent use, without pre-tightening matching. Installation does not require complex matching calculations and pre-tightening force adjustments, reducing assembly difficulty, especially suitable for precision equipment with a single spindle or single-axis system structure.

3 Technical Certification of NMT Precision Manufacturing

The high performance of NMT 7002 ACD/P4A is rooted in NMT's decades of technical accumulation in precision bearing manufacturing.

High-purity bearing steel. NMT uses 52100 high-carbon chromium bearing steel, through precise forging and secondary quenching processes, reducing non-metallic inclusions to an extremely low level.

Nanometer-level ultra-finishing raceways. NMT's raceway processing capability reaches nanometer-level accuracy. At the maximum rotational speed of 75,000 r/min, the microscopic geometric accuracy of the raceway directly determines the temperature rise and lifespan of the bearing.

Thermal balance design and wide temperature range stability. NMT introduced thermal balance simulation during the design stage, optimizing the combination of steel ball diameter and raceway curvature for high-speed conditions. Combined with NMT's high-temperature alloy cage technology - whose thermal expansion coefficient precisely matches the bearing steel - it maintains a reasonable guiding gap within the wide temperature range of room temperature to 300 degrees Celsius.

Micro-textured lubrication technology. NMT embeds porous oil storage media on the cage, designs micro-micron-level oil storage textures on the raceway surface, and realizes precise micro-oil supply during ultra-high-speed operation, ensuring that the lubricating oil film does not rupture at the maximum rotational speed.

4 Core Application Scenarios

The NMT 7002 ACD/P4A ultra-precision angular contact ball bearing is mainly used in scenarios that require high axial load-bearing and precision.

Machine tool spindles. The main spindles of CNC machining centers and precision grinding machines need to withstand the axial thrust generated by cutting during high-speed operation. The 25° contact angle provides higher axial load-bearing capacity, while the P4A grade ensures that the spindle's runout is controlled at the micrometer level during high-speed operation.

High-speed motors and electric spindles. High-speed motors, internal grinding electric spindles, and other equipment need to operate at the maximum rotational speed for a long time while bearing the axial load generated by the rotor. The oil-gas lubrication has a maximum rotational speed of 75,000 r/min, and combined with the ACD high-load design, it still maintains low heat generation and high rigidity at ultra-high rotational speeds.

Precision instruments and measurement equipment. Precision turntables, dividing heads, optical scanning mechanisms, etc., have extremely high requirements for the rotational accuracy of the bearing. The P4A grade and low vibration characteristics provide a reliable rotational reference for precise measurement.

Industrial robot joints. In high-speed, high-precision robot joints, the NMT 7002 ACD/P4A provides reliable joint support with a compact 15×32×9mm size and a high axial load-bearing capacity of 25° contact angle, for the new generation of high-speed robots.

Turbine molecular pumps and vacuum equipment. High-speed rotation, vacuum environment, and no pollution requirements - the NMT 7002 ACD/P4A meets strict cleanliness and reliability requirements with low-volatile lubrication and precise manufacturing.

Aerospace and defense equipment. Aircraft engine accessories transmission, inertial navigation systems, etc., have extreme requirements for speed, precision, and reliability in scenarios. NMT offers customized non-standard solutions - including special clearance settings, special lubrication schemes, paired bearing preload configurations, etc. Standard specifications are always in stock, and the professional technical team provides selection and technical support. The net weight of the product is 0.03 kg, and the carbon footprint is 0.11 kg CO₂e.

7 Value Summary

At the extreme rotational speed of 75,000 revolutions per minute of the machine tool spindle, in the positioning accuracy of precision instruments at the micrometer level, and in every second of the continuous operation of high-speed motors - the NMT 7002 ACD/P4A ultra-precision angular contact ball bearing, with a high axial load-bearing capacity of 25° contact angle, ultra-precision tolerances of P4A grade and ACD high-load design, releases the precision power beyond size limits within the compact dimensions of 15×32×9 mm. The extreme rotational speeds of 50,000 r/min for grease lubrication and 75,000 r/min for oil-gas lubrication eliminate the contradiction between "high speed" and "heavy load".
