Note: ACD outer-ring guided cage suits high-speed operation with smooth lubricant flow. 25° AC contact angle delivers higher axial load capacity than standard 20° version for applications under considerable axial force. The major advantage of DGB matched set is factory pre-grinding and matching, greatly reducing on-site shim adjustment and shortening spindle assembly cycle. DB back-to-back arrangement features larger support span, excellent resistance to overturning moment, suitable for spindles subject to radial moment and bidirectional alternating axial loads. This is an all-steel bearing without insulation capability; hybrid ceramic version is recommended for built-in motor spindles with shaft current risks. Open construction eliminates seal drag heat and optimizes performance for oil-air forced lubrication.
2 Structure & Operating Characteristics
Japan NMT 7014 ACD/P4ADGB is premium 25° contact angle all-steel super precision angular contact ball bearing set with DB back-to-back factory matching. Inner and outer rings adopt high-carbon chromium bearing steel with stabilized heat treatment and aging to remove internal processing stress; raceways undergo multi-stage ultra-precision mirror grinding with tight surface roughness control. Equipped with solid outer-ring-guided cage moving following outer ring track, achieving low vibration and excellent lubricant circulation under high-speed conditions.
Steel rolling elements feature mature and stable performance, bringing remarkable cost advantages for environments free from shaft current erosion. The two bearings are processed with synchronized face grinding in factory to guarantee consistent matching accuracy and simplify preload control during assembly. DB back-to-back support layout delivers balanced rigidity and withstands bidirectional axial loads and overturning moment simultaneously. Open non-sealed structure removes extra friction heat sources and adapts to long-term uninterrupted high-speed cutting and grinding finishing. Matched pair packaging fits standardized mass production spindle projects and simplifies assembly procedures.
3 Core Performance Advantages
1. ACD 25° contact angle with outer-ring guided cage: Sufficient axial rigidity, outer ring guidance ensures stable high-speed operation and smooth lubricant flow.
2. All-steel bearing construction: Proven reliable structure, easy maintenance, cost-effective for working conditions without electric erosion risks.
3. DGB original factory DB back-to-back pre-ground matched set: Pre-matched before delivery, eliminates repeated on-site shim testing and speeds up spindle assembly.
4. ISO P4A super precision grade: Precisely controls radial and axial runout to sustain dimensional accuracy during finishing processes.
5. DB back-to-back layout: Wider support span, outstanding anti-overturning performance and strong capacity for bidirectional alternating axial loads.
6. Open non-sealed construction: No friction loss generated by contact seals, perfectly compatible with oil-air forced circulation lubrication.
5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines
5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards
P4 precision matched bearing set should be assembled in constant-temperature dust-free clean workshops. Remove all burrs and metal debris on shaft and housing mating surfaces. Adopt controlled thermal mounting; direct open-flame heating is prohibited. Do not strike bearing rings to avoid indentations on raceways.
Important reminder: DGB matched set consists of two uniquely ground paired bearings. Splitting and mixing with other single bearings is forbidden. Otherwise matching accuracy will be lost, leading to excessive vibration and abnormal temperature rise.
5.2 Pairing & Preload Instructions
Supply condition: Packaged as fixed DB back-to-back two-piece matched set.
Standard layout: DB back-to-back; DF or DT rearrangement is not recommended.
Selection tips:
Bidirectional alternating axial loads & large cutting overturning moment → Prioritize this DB matched set;
Long-term continuous unidirectional heavy axial load → Select DT tandem matched model;
Low-medium speed heavy load, maximum axial rigidity priority → Choose DF face-to-face matched set.
Recommended preload: Light preload for high-speed finishing; standard preload for general cutting with medium load; heavy preload must be avoided near limiting DN value.
Selection reference:
① No shaft current risk, mass production efficiency required, DB layout →7014 ACD/P4ADGB all steel DB set
② Built-in motor spindle requiring insulation against electric erosion, DB layout →7014 ACD/HCP4ADGADGB hybrid ceramic DB set
③ Flexible layout adjustment and unified inventory required →7014 ACD/P4ADGA DGA all steel single unit
④ Long-term unidirectional axial heavy load, tandem support →7014 ACD/P4ADGTB DT matched bearing set
⑤ Inner ring guided cage required →7014 ACB/P4ATGB inner ring guided DB matched set
5.3 Lubrication Matching Scheme
No pre-filled grease. Oil-air forced circulation lubrication is recommended for continuous long-hour high-speed finishing; high-grade synthetic spindle grease can be used for medium-low speed intermittent equipment. Precision filters must be installed in lubrication pipelines, as hard contaminants easily scratch mirror raceways. Mixing of different brands or base oil types of lubricants is forbidden.
5.4 Speed Parameter Note
Solid outer-ring guided cage is suitable for prolonged continuous high-speed operation. Efficient cooling system and sufficient speed safety margin are required for long-duration full-load high-speed operation to avoid raceway fatigue damage caused by persistent overheating. Open bearings have no built-in dust shield; external dust sealing must be installed on bearing housing to prevent intrusion of dust and cutting fluid.
6 Daily Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting
Carry out multi-stage low-speed running-in after assembly, monitor temperature rise and vibration step by step. Increase speed to rated value only after all indicators stabilize. Inspect external dust sealing of bearing housing regularly, because open bearings lack internal dust protection.
Supply clean lubricant continuously to avoid dry friction. When continuous abnormal noise, overheating or vibration surge occurs, inspect sequentially: lubricant cleanliness, preload setting, assembly coaxiality, bearing installation direction, external impact overload, dust and foreign matter entering raceway. Monitor operating temperature regularly to detect early failures including raceway pitting and cage abrasion.
