Suffix Explanation
KDN.JHA: JHA series medium arched window caged needle roller assembly without separate inner and outer rings; shaft and housing bore act as raceway. Arched window provides higher rigidity than KAA straight window cage.
10: Suitable shaft diameter 10 mm.
XL0: Loose radial clearance grade with larger clearance range than CL0, designed for thermal expansion compensation, assembly tolerance accumulation and alternating high-low temperature conditions.
K: Low-friction & low breakaway torque specification. Roller end crowning and optimized sliding contact between rollers and cage reduce startup resistance for frequent start-stop and low-speed micro-motion applications.
Important reminder: This model has no solid inner and outer rings. Mating shaft and housing bore must be hardened and precision ground. Insufficient hardness and surface finish will cause early pitting, raceway scoring or seizure. Only pure radial load permitted; axial load forbidden. XL0 enlarged clearance slightly reduces rotary positioning accuracy, not suitable for high-precision positioning applications. Open construction relies on external lubrication and housing dust protection; dry running prohibited. Do not strike cage during assembly; pressing force shall act on cage end face. Select CL0 clearance series if precise positioning is required.
2 Structure & Operating Characteristics
Japan NMT KDN.JHA10XL0K compact arched window caged needle roller assembly. JHA arched window cage features high rigidity and strong deformation resistance. XL0 loose clearance reserves sufficient expansion margin to prevent jamming caused by clearance shrinkage due to temperature rise. Equipped with K-class low-friction configuration: roller end crowning eliminates edge stress concentration; precision finishing on cage contact zone reduces breakaway torque and improves lubrication status during low-speed micro-motion. Suitable for working conditions with large ambient temperature fluctuation, obvious heat generation during continuous operation, accumulated assembly tolerances, and frequent start-stop reciprocating swing.
Selection reference:
KDN.JHA10XL0K (XL0 loose clearance + K low-friction upgrade, alternating high-low temperature, heat generation, low-speed micro-motion)
KDN.JHA10CL0 / KDN.JHA10CL0K (CL0 precision clearance, applications requiring rotary positioning accuracy)
KDN.JHA10XL0 (XL0 loose clearance standard model, no low-friction enhancement, general high-temperature continuous rotation)
KDN.KAA series: Light-duty straight window cage for light load and limited radial space
NK/RNA series: needle roller bearings with integrated outer ring.
3 Core Performance Advantages
1. JHA arched window cage with enhanced rigidity and deformation resistance, suitable for mild load fluctuation.
2. XL0 loose radial clearance compensates thermal expansion and assembly tolerances, effectively avoiding seizure under high-low temperature and heat-generating conditions.
3. K low-friction optimization: roller crowning & contact surface finishing reduce breakaway torque and micro-slip friction loss.
4. Relieves edge stress on rollers, suppresses local pitting and extends service life under low-speed reciprocating swing.
5. Ringless integrated assembly facilitates lightweight and compact equipment integration.
6. Open design compatible with long-service grease lubrication and circulating oil lubrication.
4 Typical Application Fields
4.1 Automation Equipment with Alternating High and Low Temperature
Outdoor automation actuators, heated transport rotary shafts, swing pivots for temperature control equipment
4.2 Frequent Start-Stop Low-Speed Reciprocating Mechanisms
Small servo swing arms under thermal load, reciprocating sliding hinges, intermittent swing actuating assemblies
4.3 Transmission Components Allowing Moderate Rotary Clearance without Ultra-High Positioning Requirement
Light-duty pan-tilt spindles, general mechanical joints, auxiliary tooling rotary shafts near heat treatment equipment
4.4 Module Mechanisms with Large Accumulated Assembly Tolerances
5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines
5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards
Maintain dust-free clean assembly area; contaminants will increase friction torque. Apply pressing force only on cage end face, avoid hitting cage sidewall. Manually rotate after assembly to confirm smooth motion without persistent jamming. Verify hardness and roughness of shaft and housing raceway before assembly.
5.2 Selection Guidance
Large temperature variation, heat generation, low-speed micro-motion, acceptable rotary clearance → KDN.JHA10XL0K
Precise rotary positioning required → KDN.JHA10CL0 / KDN.JHA10CL0K
High-temperature continuous rotation without frequent low-speed micro-motion → KDN.JHA10XL0
Extremely limited radial installation space and light load → KDN.KAA series
Integrated outer ring required for direct housing mounting → NK / RNA needle roller bearings
5.3 Lubrication Maintenance Instruction
No pre-filled lubricant upon delivery. Select temperature-adapted grease during assembly; circulating oil lubrication recommended for long continuous operation. Carry out regular re-lubrication maintenance; dry rotation is forbidden. Wide-temperature lubricants are recommended for high-low temperature environments.
5.4 Environmental Application Notes
No permanent anti-rust coating. Apply anti-rust oil and seal tightly for long-term storage. Install end covers and oil seals under dusty and humid conditions. XL0 large clearance is not applicable for precision indexing and high-precision positioning mechanisms.
6 Fault Identification
Common failure modes: Roller edge pitting, shaft raceway scoring, cage window deformation, abnormal rise of startup torque, seizure due to insufficient lubrication. Replace complete assembly once cage distortion or roller damage occurs; repair and reuse are not allowed.
