NMT Self-Aligning Ball Bearings Self-Aligning Ball Bearings For Textile, Conveying and Light Industrial Machinery
Self-aligning ball bearings consist mainly of outer rings, inner rings, two rows of steel balls and cages. The outer rings feature spherical raceways to deliver excellent self-aligning performance, which can effectively compensate angular misalignment caused by machining errors, assembly deviation and shaft deflection during operation. The bearings mainly withstand radial loads and small bidirectional axial loads. They feature low rotational friction, stable running, low noise and relatively high limiting speed, making them suitable for light and medium-load equipment equipped with shafts prone to bending and deflection. The products are widely used in textile machinery, conveyor rollers, small fans, printing machinery, food processing equipment, woodworking machinery and various light-duty industrial devices with long transmission shafts.
Compared with deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings adopt unique spherical outer raceways and allow certain angular offset between shafts and bearing housings without roller jamming or abnormal wear, which is ideal for slender transmission shafts. Different from spherical roller bearings, self-aligning ball bearings use steel balls as rolling elements with lighter weight, lower friction coefficient and quieter operation, while their load capacity is relatively weaker, so they are more suitable for light and medium load conditions. A large number of light industrial production lines adopt long-distance conveying shafts and multi-support transmission shafts. It is difficult to guarantee absolute coaxiality during installation, and slight bending tends to occur on rotating shafts after long-term operation. If bearings without self-aligning capability are adopted, long-term eccentric load operation will lead to uneven stress on rolling elements, rapid wear and overheating, resulting in equipment shutdown. Ordinary self-aligning ball bearings on the market often suffer from insufficient spherical machining precision, loose steel ball screening standards and poor stability of cages. Vibration tends to intensify after long-term continuous operation, greatly shortening service life.
NMT Self-Aligning Ball Bearings own a complete product range, including open type and double-side rubber sealed 2RS structure. Normal clearance and enlarged C3 clearance are available. Stamped steel cages are equipped as standard. Specifications cover small and medium-standard bearings, fully meeting assembly demands of textile, conveying, printing, food and other light industrial equipment.
With continuous popularization of automated light industrial production lines, conveying equipment and textile machinery are upgraded toward long wheelbase and high-speed continuous operation, and slender rotating shafts are increasingly adopted. Fiber dust and slight moisture exist on production sites. Bearings are required to possess misalignment compensation capacity as well as quiet operation and long-term durability to reduce equipment maintenance shutdowns. Conventional self-aligning ball bearings lack sufficient optimization on spherical profiles of outer rings. Stress concentration emerges easily under angular deflection conditions. Seals deliver limited dustproof effect. Dust intrusion will cause rapid wear of rolling elements, failing to meet all-weather continuous production requirements. Light industry manufacturers are in urgent need of high-quality self-aligning ball bearing solutions with reliable self-aligning function and low-noise long-term operation.
NMT Self-Aligning Ball Bearings adopt optimized curved profiles for spherical outer raceways to improve contact status between steel balls and raceways and evenly distribute contact stress when shafts deflect. A high-precision grading and screening system for steel balls strictly controls dimensional tolerance of each steel ball group. Ultra-precision grinding is carried out on inner and outer rings to improve surface finish of raceways. Heat treatment processes are continuously optimized to balance hardness and toughness of steel. The fitting structure of seal lips is improved to block intrusion of dust and fiber debris and reasonably restrain frictional heat during operation, delivering stable and reliable supporting guarantee for light industrial machinery with long shafts and medium-light loads.
NMT Self-Aligning Ball Bearings are composed of outer rings, inner rings, double-row precision steel balls and stamped steel cages. Spherical raceways of outer rings endow bearings with self-aligning feature to compensate shaft deflection and assembly misalignment. Open structures support on-site grease replenishment. 2RS double-side rubber sealed versions can isolate dust, fiber and moisture, suitable for production workshops with harsh operating environments. Standard clearance applies to regular equipment working at normal temperature, while enlarged C3 clearance fits high-speed transmission mechanisms prone to temperature rise. Double-row steel balls cooperate with precision spherical raceways to achieve smooth rotation with low vibration and noise. All steel balls undergo precise grading screening before assembly to ensure unified dimensions inside each bearing and avoid local overload under deflection conditions. The products are extensively applied in textile machines, conveying roller tables, small centrifugal fans, printing equipment, woodworking machinery and automated food production line equipment.
High-purity bearing chromium alloy steel is selected for inner rings, outer rings and steel balls. Repeated forging refines internal grain structure. Accurate constant-temperature quenching and tempering balance surface hardness of raceways and matrix toughness to resist fatigue pitting damage caused by alternating loads. Multi-layer ultra-precision grinding is implemented on inner and outer raceways to optimize surface micro-texture, facilitate stable formation of lubricating oil film and restrain frictional temperature rise during continuous operation. All finished products pass geometric dimension inspection, steel ball grouping verification, radial clearance sorting, high-speed silent endurance test and sampling life verification. Defective workpieces are eliminated to guarantee consistent performance of mass-produced bearings.
Various seal types and clearance specifications are optional. Standard universal outer dimensions ensure excellent interchangeability for convenient assembly, commissioning, maintenance and replacement of all kinds of light industrial machinery.
