NMT Cylindrical Roller Bearings Heavy-duty Cylindrical Roller Bearings For Reducers, Rolling Mills And Construction Machinery
Cylindrical roller bearings consist of inner rings, outer rings, cylindrical rollers and cages. As rolling elements, cylindrical rollers form line contact and deliver extremely high radial load capacity. According to rib structures, they are divided into NU, NJ, N, NF and NUP types. Certain versions can bear unidirectional axial loads, featuring high modularity and easy disassembly. The products are widely applied to gear reducers, metallurgical rolling mills, mining equipment, construction machinery, large fans, paper machinery, machine tool gearboxes and other heavy industrial machinery subjected to heavy radial loads.
Compared with deep groove ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings adopt roller line contact structure with much stronger radial load capacity and superior rigidity, yet relatively lower limiting rotating speed. Different from tapered roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings have weaker axial load capacity but more stable temperature rise performance, suitable for transmission scenarios dominated by radial loads and frequent shock loads. Heavy industrial equipment operates continuously under alternating shock loads and imposes strict requirements on bearing load capacity, shock resistance and long-term operational stability. Ordinary cylindrical roller bearings on the market generally suffer from large dimensional dispersion of rollers, insufficient raceway grinding precision and weak structural strength of cages. Raceway spalling, roller wear and cage deformation or fracture easily occur during long-term heavy-load operation, greatly shortening overhaul cycles of complete transmission equipment.
NMT Cylindrical Roller Bearings feature a complete product line covering mainstream structures NU, NJ, N and NUP with single-rib and double-rib specifications. Stamped steel cages and solid brass cages are available. Normal clearance, C3 and C4 enlarged clearances are optional. Precision grades range from standard class, P6 to P5 with abundant sizes, fully meeting supporting demands of metallurgy, mining, construction machinery and transmission reducers.
With continuous upgrading of heavy industry equipment, reducers, rolling mills and mining machinery work continuously under heavy alternating shock loads. Large alternating radial impact loads act on equipment during operation. Higher standards are raised for maximum radial load capacity, impact toughness, lubrication stability and wear resistance of bearings to minimize equipment downtime and maintenance frequency. Conventional cylindrical roller bearings lack optimized roller profiles. Obvious stress concentration appears on contact areas under heavy loads. Poor dimensional consistency of rollers leads to growing vibration during operation. Lubricating grease fails rapidly under high temperature and heavy loads, failing to satisfy all-day continuous operation requirements of heavy industry equipment. Heavy equipment manufacturers are in urgent need of cylindrical roller bearing solutions with high rigidity, shock resistance and long service life.
NMT Cylindrical Roller Bearings adopt optimized designs for roller end faces and raceway profiles to improve contact conditions, disperse contact stress under heavy loads and reduce risks of raceway stress spalling. A high-precision roller grading system strictly controls dimensional and straightness tolerances to narrow size dispersion range. Ultra-precision grinding technology is applied on inner and outer raceways to enhance surface finish and geometric precision. Heat treatment processes are continuously upgraded to balance hardness and toughness of bearing steel and strengthen anti-fatigue and anti-spalling performance under alternating shock loads. Improved cage structural design enhances structural strength and guiding stability, lowers friction loss during operation and ensures stable rotation under heavy loads, delivering reliable support for various heavy transmission devices.
NMT Cylindrical Roller Bearings are available in diversified rib structures. NU type without inner ring ribs and NJ type with single inner rib allow relative axial sliding between inner and outer rings, adapting to thermal elongation compensation of equipment. NUP structure enables bidirectional axial positioning and withstands unidirectional axial loads. Stamped steel cages are lightweight for small and medium-sized reducers; solid brass cages feature high structural strength and outstanding shock resistance for heavy shock scenarios such as rolling mills and mining machinery. All rollers undergo multi-stage precise dimensional sorting before assembly to guarantee uniform load distribution and avoid early raceway damage caused by local stress concentration. The products are extensively matched with planetary gear reducers, metallurgical roll equipment, mining crushers, transmission parts of excavators, large industrial fans, paper pressing equipment and heavy-duty machine tool gearboxes.
High-purity bearing alloy steel is selected for inner and outer rings. Multi-directional forging refines internal grain structure. Segmented constant-temperature quenching and tempering balances surface wear resistance of raceways and matrix impact toughness to resist fatigue spalling caused by continuous alternating heavy loads. Multi-layer precision grinding is carried out on inner and outer raceways to optimize surface micro-morphology, facilitate stable formation of lubricating oil film and reduce heat generated by friction under heavy loads. All finished products pass geometric dimension inspection, roller grouping verification, radial clearance sorting, heavy-load endurance impact test and sampling fatigue life verification. Defective workpieces are eliminated to guarantee stable and unified performance indicators of mass-produced bearings.
Multiple structural types, cage styles and clearance specifications are optional. International standard outer dimensions ensure excellent interchangeability for convenient assembly, commissioning and spare part replacement of heavy machinery.

Quality Assurance
Raw materials of NMT Cylindrical Roller Bearings receive sampling inspection for hardness, metallographic structure and non-metallic inclusions upon warehousing to control raw material quality fundamentally. Forged blanks of inner and outer rings fully release residual forging stress and sequentially undergo precision turning, heat treatment, rough grinding and ultra-precision raceway grinding. All cylindrical rollers are grouped into multiple high-precision grades to guarantee uniform stress distribution under heavy loads. After assembly, cages of different structures pass heavy-load shock endurance simulation tests. All finished goods pass visual inspection, dimensional precision testing, clearance screening and heavy-load endurance test. Non-conforming products are separated independently. Every cylindrical roller bearing features high load capacity, excellent shock resistance and stable operation, supporting long-term reliable operation of heavy industrial equipment.
