NMT Spherical Roller Bearings Spherical Roller Bearings For Fans, Mining, Cement Equipment And Construction Machinery
Spherical roller bearings consist of inner rings, spherical outer rings, symmetrical barrel rollers and cages. The outer ring features spherical raceways with outstanding self-aligning capability, which effectively compensates angular deviation caused by shaft misalignment and shaft bending deformation. With line-contact roller structure, the bearings can withstand heavy radial loads as well as moderate bidirectional axial loads. The products are widely used in large industrial fans, mining crushers, cement rotary kilns, ball mills, screw conveyors, papermaking equipment, metallurgical roller tables, construction machinery transmissions and other heavy machinery prone to shaft deflection and coaxiality errors.
Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, spherical roller bearings have unique self-aligning ability to adapt to shaft deformation and assembly errors and prevent bearing seizure, while their limiting rotating speed is lower. Different from self-aligning ball bearings, barrel roller line contact greatly improves load capacity for heavy shock conditions, yet the friction coefficient is relatively high and less suitable for high-speed applications. Equipment in mining, cement and building material industries runs continuously under dusty environments and alternating shock loads. Main spindles are prone to deflection and coaxiality offset, which impose strict requirements on bearing load capacity, self-aligning performance, dust resistance, wear resistance and long service life. Ordinary spherical roller bearings on the market usually suffer from insufficient precision of roller profile machining, poor surface finish of raceways, weak cage strength and unreasonable internal lubrication space design. After long-term operation in harsh conditions, roller wear, raceway spalling and lubrication failure frequently occur, leading to unplanned equipment shutdown and rising production and maintenance costs.
NMT Spherical Roller Bearings have a complete product line including standard and reinforced structures. Stamped steel cages and solid brass cages are optional. Normal clearance, C3 and C4 enlarged clearances are available. Precision grades cover standard class and P6 precision class with sizes ranging from small-medium to large dimensions, fully meeting supporting demands of building materials, mining, wind power and metallurgical heavy industrial equipment.
With continuous development of cement, mining and wind power industries, ball mills, rotary kilns and large induced draft fans operate non-stop all year round. Main spindles deflect under heavy loads, while different degrees of coaxiality errors exist during on-site installation. Radial shock loads and axial forces continuously act on bearings. The industry continuously raises requirements for bearing heavy-load capacity, self-aligning tolerance, wear resistance under dusty conditions and long-term operational stability to minimize unexpected shutdowns. Conventional spherical roller bearings tend to form stress concentration at both ends of rollers. Under combined conditions of continuous shock and shaft misalignment, raceways easily suffer fatigue pitting. Improper clearance matching aggravates temperature rise during operation and accelerates grease aging, making it difficult to satisfy demands of all-weather continuous production equipment. Heavy equipment manufacturers are in urgent need of spherical roller bearing solutions with high load capacity, excellent self-aligning property, dust resistance and long service life.
NMT Spherical Roller Bearings adopt optimized curved profile and end crowning design for barrel rollers to improve contact status between rollers and spherical raceways, disperse contact stress under heavy loads and shaft deflection, relieve edge stress concentration and reduce risks of raceway fatigue spalling. A high-precision roller sorting system strictly controls dimensional and curved surface tolerances to reduce dimensional differences between individual rollers. Ultra-precision fine grinding is applied on inner and outer raceways to enhance geometric accuracy and surface finish of spherical raceways. Heat treatment processes are continuously upgraded to balance hardness and impact toughness of bearing steel and strengthen anti-fatigue performance under combined conditions of alternating heavy loads and shaft misalignment. Optimized cage structure and internal lubrication channel design improve cage strength and oil circulation capacity, lower friction heat generation and guarantee continuous stable operation under shaft deflection and assembly deviation, delivering reliable support for all types of large rotating heavy equipment.
NMT Spherical Roller Bearings adopt double-row barrel roller layout with natural bidirectional self-aligning capacity, allowing certain angular deflection between inner and outer rings to compensate spindle bending and base installation errors. Stamped steel cages feature compact structure and light weight for small-medium fans and conveying machinery. Solid brass cages possess stronger rigidity, superior shock resistance and high-temperature resistance, widely applied to ball mills, rotary kilns, mining crushers and other heavy equipment under shock and high temperature. All barrel rollers undergo multi-stage curved surface precision screening before assembly to ensure uniform load distribution and avoid early component failure caused by local stress concentration. The products are extensively matched with cement ball mills, rotary kiln supporting rollers, large industrial centrifugal fans, mining crushing equipment, metallurgical roller conveyors, papermaking press rolls and large screw conveying equipment for wood chips and ores.
High-purity bearing alloy steel is selected for inner and outer rings. Multi-directional forging refines internal grain structure. Segmented constant-temperature quenching and tempering balances surface wear resistance of spherical raceways and matrix impact toughness to resist fatigue damage induced by combined loads of continuous heavy loads and shaft deformation. Multi-layer precision grinding is carried out on outer spherical raceways and inner raceways to optimize surface micro-morphology, facilitate stable formation of lubricating oil film and restrain temperature rise caused by friction under heavy loads. All finished products pass geometric dimension inspection, roller grouping verification, radial clearance sorting, heavy-load self-aligning endurance test and sampling fatigue life verification. Defective workpieces are eliminated to guarantee stable and unified performance indicators of mass-produced bearings.
Multiple structural forms, cage styles and clearance specifications are optional. International standard outer dimensions ensure excellent interchangeability for convenient assembly, commissioning and spare part replacement of heavy industrial machinery.
