NMT Spherical Roller Bearings Self-Aligning Heavy-Duty Spherical Roller Bearings For Mines, Cement Plants, Fans & Vibrating Screens

Spherical roller bearings feature an outer ring spherical raceway matched with double-row symmetric barrel-shaped rollers, delivering powerful self-aligning performance to compensate for shaft bending, installation misalignment and frame deformation-induced axis deflection. They withstand heavy radial loads and bidirectional axial loads simultaneously with excellent resistance to vibration and alternating impact, serving as core bearings for heavy-load eccentric, vibrating and long transmission shaft equipment. Classified by cage type (solid brass cage, stamped steel cage) and structural variants CA/CC/CAM/EAC, with full coverage of narrow, wide cross-section and sealed versions. Widely applied to vertical cement mills, mine vibrating screens, bucket elevators, large fans, ball mills, rotary kilns, crushers and paper press rolls under harsh operating conditions.

Main model classification: 222 medium-size general series, 223 wide-body heavy-duty series, 230/231/232 extra-large size series for rolling mills & rotary kilns. Structural marks: CA solid brass cage, CC stamped steel cage, EAC enhanced internal clearance optimization. Double-sided skeleton sealed 2RS waterproof & dustproof types are optional.

Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, they adapt to shaft eccentricity and deflection to avoid roller jamming and edge spalling caused by misalignment. Versus tapered roller bearings, they combine bidirectional axial load capacity and self-alignment, eliminating paired installation for single-point eccentric load bearing. Limitation: relatively low limiting speed, unsuitable for high-speed precision spindles; rapid roller sintering once lubrication fails.

Equipment in cement, mining and building materials industries operates under high-frequency vibration, heavy dust, water & mud erosion, transmission shaft deflection and alternating start-stop impact. Inferior spherical roller bearings suffer inaccurate spherical curvature of outer raceways leading to self-alignment failure and roller fracture under unilateral load. Uneven roller hardness causes rapid fatigue pitting under vibration. Flimsy cages experience rivet loosening and structural collapse under continuous vibration. Simple sealing allows dust and sediment ingress to trigger abrasive wear, resulting in bearing seizure of vibrating screens, roller shake of vertical mills, overheating & oil leakage of rotary kiln bearings and rotor scraping of fan spindles, bringing massive production downtime and maintenance costs for the whole production line.

NMT spherical roller bearings cover full lineup from small-medium general models to large heavy-duty kiln & mill bearings. Manufactured with ultra-clean refined bearing steel via overall tempering + deep surface quenching to balance toughness and surface wear resistance. High-precision spherical grinding on outer ring raceways provides sufficient self-aligning margin to compensate 1°~1.5° shaft misalignment. Optimized crowning on barrel rollers eliminates edge stress concentration for even vibration load distribution. CA models adopt integrated solid brass cages for superior vibration fatigue resistance; CC high-strength stamped steel cages serve cost-effective heavy-load scenarios. EAC variants optimize internal clearance for high-temperature and vibrating conditions. Optional integrated thickened dust-proof seals block dust and moisture penetration. Pre-delivery sorting by internal clearance and spherical contour inspection adapts to thermal expansion and vibration deformation. All dimensions comply with national standards for direct replacement of original bearings of mainstream brands, supporting complete machine assembly for mining equipment, overhaul of cement production lines, fan renovation and rotary kiln maintenance replacement.

Industrial heavy-duty equipment is upgraded toward high capacity, non-stop continuous operation, long-term service in open-air harsh conditions and minimal downtime maintenance. Conventional low-quality spherical roller bearings have poor spherical precision, weak anti-vibration structure and insufficient dust-proof sealing. Minor shaft deformation triggers eccentric load damage, and dust intrusion accelerates bearing abrasion and scrapping. They cannot meet demands such as 24-hour vibrating operation of ball mills, heavy compression of vertical mills, high-frequency reciprocating vibration of vibrating screens and low-speed high-temperature rotation of rotary kilns. The market demands long-service-life spherical roller bearings with strong self-alignment, outstanding vibration resistance and dust & water resistance.

Super-precision spherical grinding of NMT outer rings ensures large-angle misalignment compensation to eliminate eccentric load failure from shaft deformation. Spherical crowning on rollers evenly distributes impact load under vibration to delay fatigue spalling. Reinforced thickened cages with locked rivets prevent loosening and fracture under sustained vibration. Multi-lip optimized side seals greatly improve mud and dust blocking performance. Expanded internal oil storage grooves for high-temperature models prevent dry friction and overheating during prolonged high-temperature operation.

All finished bearings pass spherical contour accuracy inspection, variable-angle self-aligning endurance test, high-frequency vibration fatigue test and dust sealing aging test to eliminate defective products with spherical curvature deviation, uneven heat treatment hardness and seal leakage, guaranteeing long-term stable operation of eccentric vibrating heavy-load equipment.

Core Product Advantages

Outer ring spherical raceway + double-row barrel rollers automatically compensate shaft bending, installation error and frame deformation to avoid eccentric load damage.

Supports ultra-heavy radial load and bidirectional axial force simultaneously; single bearing realizes composite load support to simplify assembly layout.

Dual cage options: solid brass cage for long-term high-intensity vibration working conditions, stamped steel cage for cost-effective conventional heavy loads.

Roller end crowning avoids edge stress concentration under alternating vibration load to extend fatigue service life.

Optional double-sided contact skeleton oil seal prevents mine dust, workshop moisture and mud from entering bearing interior.

EAC optimized clearance models adapt to thermal expansion of high-temperature rotary kilns and mills to avoid high-temperature seizure.

Extra-large heavy-duty models serve core fulcrums of rotary kilns, vertical mills and ball mills with low-speed heavy load.

Standard universal dimensions enable direct interchange with original bearings for cement, mining and fan equipment.

Typical Application Scenarios
