NMT Tapered Roller Bearings Heavy-Duty Tapered Roller Bearings For Axles, Reducers & Construction Machinery

Tapered roller bearings adopt a split structure consisting of inner assembly (rollers + inner ring) and outer ring. The tapered inclined structure of raceways and rollers enables the bearing to withstand huge radial load and unidirectional axial load simultaneously, featuring outstanding heavy-load capacity and excellent impact resistance. Bidirectional axial limiting and locking are realized through reverse paired installation. Characterized by high load limit, strong vibration & shock resistance and reliable axial positioning, they are classified by taper angle: large taper delivers stronger axial load capacity, while small taper fits heavy radial load conditions. All models are open-type without sealing, lubricated by gear oil or lubricant immersion. Widely applied in heavy-duty transmission points such as commercial vehicle axles, heavy reducers, construction machinery and metallurgical rolls, they serve as core pressure-bearing bearings for heavy-duty power transmission systems.

Main model classification: 30200 standard taper general series, 32200 thickened reinforced heavy-duty series, 32000 narrow taper large radial load series, 32900 ultra-thin compact series, 329000 multi-row tapered roller bearings. Assembly forms: single bearing, back-to-back paired double bearings, four-row combined heavy-duty configuration. Applicable lubrication: oil bath lubrication, circulating pressure lubrication. Precision grades: P0 industrial heavy-duty grade, P6 precision transmission grade.

Performance comparison: Compared with angular contact ball bearings, it has leading heavy-load and anti-impact performance yet low limiting speed, unsuitable for high-speed operation. Compared with spherical roller bearings, axial positioning rigidity is higher to eliminate shaft play, without self-aligning function and requiring good coaxiality of the shaft. Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, it adds axial load capacity to bear both radial and axial forces. Shortcoming: no integrated sealing structure, relying on box lubricant for protection; prone to heat and wear under high speed. Axial clearance must be reserved during installation; improper clearance adjustment will directly cause seizure from overheating or jitter from excessive axial play.

Drive axles of heavy trucks, front/rear axles of coaches, wheel reducers of loaders, planetary gearboxes, mining reducers, roll necks of steel rolling mills and large conveyor drums operate under bumping impact, alternating heavy load and axial thrust from gear meshing all year round, featuring drastic load fluctuation, heavy dust and high oil temperature. Inferior tapered roller bearings suffer from inconsistent roller taper leading to local crushing under eccentric load. Insufficient cage strength causes cage fracture and disintegration under impact load. Low toughness bearing steel triggers roller crack and spalling under heavy load. Uneven quenching hardness of raceways forms furrow wear due to abrasive particles in lubricant, directly resulting in abnormal noise & gear jumping of truck axles, gear tooth breakage & scrapping of reducers, wheel hub seizure of construction machinery and shutdown maintenance of rolling mills. Unexpected downtime of heavy equipment brings huge economic losses.

NMT tapered roller bearings cover full specifications of single-row and multi-row tapered roller bearings including 302, 322, 320 and 329 series, with in-stock supply for single finished bearings and paired assemblies. Reference axial clearance values are marked before delivery for convenient on-site assembly adjustment. Manufactured from carburized quenched special bearing steel with high surface hardness for wear resistance and tough core for impact resistance, perfectly adapting to bumpy heavy-load conditions. Rollers adopt full crown crowning modification to avoid edge stress concentration and eliminate eccentric load pitting. Precision taper grinding on inner and outer ring raceways ensures uniform load distribution of the whole bearing. Solid machined cages feature robust structure to resist fracture under instantaneous peak impact load. Stabilization treatment at low temperature prevents deformation and failure in high-temperature lubricant environments. All dimensions comply with national standards for direct interchange during truck axle maintenance, reducer overhaul and construction machinery parts replacement, compatible with replacement assembly of various domestic and imported heavy-duty tapered roller bearings.

Heavy-duty vehicle transmission, industrial heavy reducers, mining & metallurgical equipment and construction machinery are upgraded toward high load capacity, long service life with shock resistance, stable axial positioning and low maintenance frequency. Ordinary inferior tapered roller bearings are plagued by poor taper precision, non-crowned rollers and weak cage rigidity, leading to rapid roller fragmentation, raceway spalling and abnormal axial clearance under heavy impact. They cannot meet stringent operating requirements such as long-distance heavy-load driving of heavy trucks, 24-hour continuous operation of mining equipment and stable rolling of steel rolling mills. The market urgently demands heavy-duty tapered roller bearings with high toughness, impact resistance, precise taper and uniform load bearing.

NMT optimizes stress distribution via crowned roller design to eliminate edge overload damage. Carburized composite steel balances hardness and toughness for both wear resistance and shock resistance. Precision taper grinding ensures accurate and controllable axial clearance after paired assembly. All finished bearings pass full inspection for fatigue load test, taper dimension inspection and sampling test for cage strength to eliminate defective products with taper deviation, material defects and forming flaws, stabilizing positioning of heavy-load shafting and restraining impact wear and high-temperature faults.

Core Product Advantages

Split tapered roller structure bears super heavy radial load + unidirectional axial load; reverse paired installation realizes bidirectional axial locking.

Optional multi-taper models: narrow taper for heavy radial load, wide taper for enhanced axial load capacity to match different heavy-load stress conditions.

Carburized quenched steel with hard surface and tough core delivers outstanding resistance to cracking caused by gravel impact and alternating load.

Roller crown crowning process avoids edge stress concentration and greatly reduces failure rate of eccentric load wear.

High-strength solid cage resists deformation and fracture under peak impact load for improved overall bearing integrity.

Reference clearance marked at factory saves repeated clearance measurement during maintenance and boosts assembly efficiency.

Compatible with oil bath and forced circulating lubrication for long-term operation inside sealed oil chambers of gearboxes and vehicle axles.

Standard national overall dimensions enable universal replacement for heavy equipment components without machining of shaft diameter or bearing housing.

Typical Application Scenarios

Wheel hub bearings for front/rear drive axles and steering axles of heavy trucks, semi-trailers and dump trucks; input & output shaft bearings for planetary gear reducers, hard-tooth surface reducers and winch reducers; wheel reducer and hub support bearings for loaders, excavators and bulldozers; main shaft bearings for heavy drums of mining crushers and belt conveyors; support bearings for roll necks of hot rolling mills and cold rolling mills; heavy-duty bearings for slewing mechanisms of large tower cranes and lifting equipment.
