NMT Tapered Roller Bearings Heavy-Duty Tapered Roller Bearings For Construction Machinery Axles

Tapered roller bearings adopt a matching structure of tapered rollers and tapered raceways, delivering strong combined bearing capacity for radial load and unidirectional axial load. The bearing is designed as a separable structure, enabling independent assembly of inner assembly and outer ring, and accurate control of preload clearance during installation, adapting to core working conditions of heavy load impact, alternating bump load and low-speed high torque. Mainly designed without rubber seals for splash oil bath lubrication. Cages include stamped steel cages and integral machined steel cages. According to taper angles, they are divided into small taper angle high-speed type, standard taper angle balanced type and large taper angle strong axial thrust type. As core heavy-duty bearings for front/rear wheel hubs of heavy-duty trucks, axle differentials, loader wheel edges, excavator traveling mechanisms, mine reducers and steel rolling equipment, they feature ultra-high load capacity, impact resistance, bump resistance and easy assembly & commissioning.

Main model classification: 32900 narrow lightweight series, 32000 standard taper angle main series, 32200 widened heavy-duty series, 329/330 extra-large taper angle axial heavy-load series. Structural forms: single-row tapered roller, double-row tapered roller, four-row tapered roller. Precision grades: P0 engineering heavy-duty grade, P6 precision transmission grade. Clearance: factory standard clearance with adjustable assembly clearance. Structural feature: complete separation of inner ring roller assembly and outer ring.

Performance comparison: Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, it has additional powerful axial load capacity to bear axial impact from vehicle braking and starting for stronger axle positioning stability. Compared with angular contact ball bearings, its rated load is multiplied with outstanding resistance to stone impact and overload bumping, while the limiting rotating speed is low, unsuitable for high-speed spindle scenarios. Compared with spherical roller bearings, it has simple structure, adjustable assembly clearance and convenient disassembly & maintenance, without self-aligning performance, requiring decent shaft centering. Shortcoming: Low limiting rotating speed leads to excessive temperature rise under continuous high-speed operation; excessive preload during installation easily causes concentrated edge stress and roller fragmentation failure.

Heavy-duty dump trucks, loaders and excavators operate all year round on unpaved mine roads and rough construction roads, enduring continuous load impact, axial thrust during braking, lateral shear force during turning and intrusion of muddy water & dust into lubrication cavities. Inferior tapered roller bearings suffer from poor roller contour forming accuracy and inconsistent raceway taper, leading to eccentric edge wear under heavy load operation. Insufficient thickness of cage steel plate causes tearing and collapse under alternating heavy load. Insufficient heat treatment hardness of inner and outer rings results in raceway indentation and peeling under stone impact and overload rolling. Lack of effective dustproof protection allows sediment to abrade rollers and raceways, directly causing overheating seizure of heavy truck hubs, excessive clearance and abnormal noise of axles, oil leakage failure of loader wheel edges and gear tooth breakage of mine reducers, resulting in vehicle breakdown on the way, shutdown maintenance of construction machinery and huge losses in transportation and construction.

NMT tapered roller bearings cover full specifications of single-row, double-row and four-row series including 329, 320, 322 and 330, with sufficient stock for heavy-duty double-row and four-row large mine bearings. Manufactured from electroslag remelted high-toughness bearing steel with integral carburizing quenching treatment for high surface hardness & wear resistance and high core toughness & impact resistance. Logarithmic curve crowning on rollers eliminates edge stress concentration and prevents raceway gnawing from eccentric load. Integral machined steel cages adapt to extreme heavy load impact conditions, while stamped steel cages are for lightweight axle components. Precision taper grinding on raceways realizes perfect matching of inner and outer ring tapers with linear and stable adjustment of assembly clearance. All dimensions comply with national heavy-duty bearing dimension specifications for direct replacement of imported bearings during maintenance of heavy-duty truck axles and construction machinery traveling mechanisms without modification of housings and shaft diameters.

Heavy-duty commercial vehicles, engineering machinery and mine conveying equipment are upgraded toward long service life under heavy load, mud & dust resistance in harsh conditions, convenient assembly & maintenance and low failure rate. Low-grade inferior tapered roller bearings without roller crowning, uneven hardness after heat treatment and weak cage rigidity suffer from enlarged clearance, raceway pitting and cage damage after short-term operation under heavy bump load, failing to meet durability requirements for long-distance transportation of heavy vehicles and all-weather field operation of construction machinery. The market urgently needs heavy-duty tapered roller bearings with impact resistance, optimized roller crowning and solid heat treatment.

NMT achieves uniform stress bearing under heavy load, impact & spalling resistance and precise controllable assembly clearance via three core processes: logarithmic curve crowning of rollers, deep carburizing quenching and precision grinding for taper matching. All finished bearings pass taper matching inspection, roller contour flaw detection and impact load simulation test to eliminate defective products with taper deviation, roller defects and unqualified heat treatment, extend the trouble-free service life of axles and traveling mechanisms and reduce emergency maintenance frequency for field equipment.

Core Product Advantages

Tapered coupling structure bears both radial load and unidirectional axial load to fully absorb axial impact from vehicle braking, turning and heavy-load starting.

Separated split structure enables split assembly of inner assembly and outer ring for flexible adjustment of hub assembly clearance and efficient disassembly & maintenance.

Logarithmic curve crowning on rollers eliminates edge stress concentration to avoid raceway gnawing at roller edges under heavy load and greatly extend fatigue life.

Deep carburizing quenching delivers wear-resistant surface and tough substrate to prevent raceway corner collapse and indentation under gravel impact and overload impact.

Two cage options: integral steel cages for mine heavy-duty equipment and stamped steel cages for lightweight assembly of commercial vehicle wheel hubs.

Multiple structural options: single row for wheel hubs, double row for differentials, four row for large rolling mills and mine heavy-duty reducers.

Strong interchangeability of standard heavy-duty dimensions for direct replacement of original bearings of mainstream heavy trucks and construction machinery with zero adaptation error.

Compatible with splash lubrication of gear oil and oil sump lubrication for harsh field working conditions of high temperature, muddy water and dust.

Typical Application Scenarios

Front/rear wheel hub bearings and main reducer differential bearings for heavy trucks, semi-trailers and dump trucks; wheel edge reducer and steering axle support bearings for wheel loaders; heavy-duty support bearings for traveling motors and slewing mechanisms of excavators; axle bearings for mine wide-body vehicles and underground transport vehicles; low-speed heavy-duty reducer bearings for mine belt conveyors, crushers and ball mills; four-row heavy-duty spindle bearings for steel rolling mills and continuous casting machines; drive axle bearings for large agricultural tractors and harvesters.

Quality Assurance

NMT tapered roller bearings adopt carburizing bearing steel heat treatment technology for qualified surface hardness to resist wear and pitting corrosion, and core toughness to withstand alternating impact load. Optimized roller contour design realizes uniform load distribution and gentle & stable temperature rise during rotational friction. Compatible with vehicle gear oil and industrial enclosed gear oil lubrication, operating temperature ranges from -20℃ to 140℃, adapting to complex working conditions such as muddy & dusty mine sites, heavy bumping on construction sites and high temperature during long-distance climbing of vehicles.
