NMT Spherical Roller Bearings Heavy-Duty Spherical Roller Bearings For Fans & Mining Vibrating Screens
Spherical roller bearings adopt a classic structure of double-row barrel rollers and spherical outer ring raceway, delivering excellent self-aligning capacity to compensate coaxial deviation caused by shaft bending, base installation deviation and machining centering error. They can bear ultra-heavy radial load and moderate bidirectional axial load, and withstand continuous alternating vibration and impact load. Products are divided into cylindrical bore and tapered bore inner hole structures for direct assembly with adapter sleeves. Cages include solid brass cages, stamped steel cages and machined steel cages. Sealing types are open type and double-sided skeleton oil seal type. As core supporting components for mining vibrating screens, fan main shafts, ball mills, cement rotary kilns, crushers and large belt conveyors, they feature self-aligning fault tolerance, vibration & impact resistance and stable long-term heavy-load operation.
Main model classification: 23000 ultra-wide heavy-duty series, 22200 standard general main series, 22300 thickened heavy-load series. Inner bore types: straight cylindrical bore, tapered bore (suffix K). Cage types: solid brass cage (CA/CC), stamped steel cage. Precision grades: P0 industrial heavy-duty, P6 precision transmission. Clearance groups: C0 standard clearance, C3 & C4 increased clearance (special for vibrating equipment).
Performance comparison: Compared with tapered roller bearings, the spherical self-aligning function avoids eccentric raceway abrasion under misalignment and shaft deformation, suitable for distorted working conditions of vibrating equipment. Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, fault tolerance is greatly improved with lower requirements for frame rigidity and assembly process, as well as better axial load capacity. Compared with deep groove ball bearings, the rated load is multiplied for full adaptation to heavy-duty industrial scenarios with low limiting rotating speed. Shortcoming: Large structural volume leads to high friction loss under high-speed operation, unsuitable for precision high-speed spindles. Preload of adapter sleeves must be controlled for tapered bore assembly; excessive tightening will eliminate internal clearance and cause overheating.
Mining vibrating screens, industrial induced draft fans, cement ball mills and ore crushers operate all year round under harsh conditions of high-frequency reciprocating vibration, foundation settlement deformation, transmission shaft bending and lubrication structure covered by coal ash and dust. Inferior spherical roller bearings suffer from insufficient spherical machining accuracy leading to roller fragmentation after self-aligning failure. Uneven roller heat treatment hardness causes fatigue pitting and surface peeling under continuous vibration. Insufficient wall thickness of brass cages results in rivet fracture and cage disintegration under alternating vibration. Insufficient internal clearance leaves no expansion margin for vibration heat generation, directly causing seizure shutdown of vibrating screens, jitter imbalance of fan main shafts, intensified abnormal vibration of mills and excessive shaft end clearance of crushers. The whole production line shuts down for maintenance, bringing serious output losses to industrial and mining enterprises.
NMT spherical roller bearings cover full specifications of 230, 222 and 223 series with sufficient stock for C3/C4 increased-clearance models dedicated to vibrating screens. Finished products with tapered bore and matched adapter sleeves are ready for direct installation. Manufactured from electroslag remelted high-purity bearing steel, the outer ring spherical surface is processed by high-precision grinding to realize wide-angle self-aligning compensation. Crown modification on barrel rollers disperses vibration impact stress and eliminates edge stress concentration. Integrally forged solid brass cages resist fatigue and vibration cracking, while stamped steel cages serve cost-effective fan equipment. Overall quenching and tempering of inner and outer rings bring wear-resistant surface and tough matrix to resist abrasion from sand and dust particles. Increased-clearance models reserve expansion space for temperature rise of vibrating equipment to prevent seizure caused by clearance exhaustion. All dimensions comply with national general specifications for replacement of old bearings on fans, mining and cement equipment without reconstruction of bases and shafts.
Mining crushing & screening equipment, industrial ventilation fans, building material calcination equipment and long-distance conveying equipment are upgraded toward deformation resistance & fault tolerance, long service life under vibration, wear resistance in dusty environment and easy disassembly & maintenance. Low-grade spherical roller bearings with poor spherical accuracy, non-crowned rollers and small internal clearance suffer from cage damage, raceway pitting and bearing seizure after short-term vibrating operation, failing to meet the demand of 24-hour non-stop production in mines. The market urgently needs heavy-duty spherical roller bearings with high-precision spherical forming, vibration-specific increased clearance and anti-fatigue cages.
NMT realizes wide-angle self-aligning fault tolerance, uniform dispersion of vibration load and sufficient clearance margin for high-temperature operation via three core processes: precision grinding of outer ring spherical surface, optimized crown forming of rollers and working-condition customized clearance matching. All finished bearings pass spherical fitting inspection, roller flaw detection, vibration durability simulation test and clearance grading screening to eliminate defective products with inaccurate spherical surface, roller defects and mismatched clearance. It ensures continuous and stable operation of large industrial and mining equipment and reduces frequency of unplanned shutdown maintenance.
Core Product Advantages
Spherical outer ring + barrel roller structure compensates shaft misalignment deformation up to 1°~2°, avoiding eccentric wear caused by shaft bending and frame deformation.
Double-row roller structure provides ultra-heavy radial load capacity and bidirectional axial load capacity, adapting to composite stress conditions of mills and crushers.
Optional C3/C4 increased working clearance reserves thermal expansion gap for high-frequency heating of vibrating screens to eliminate high-temperature seizure.
Two inner bore options: interference fit for straight bore, assembly with adapter sleeve for tapered bore without finish machining on shaft surface for convenient disassembly and overhaul.
Integrally forged brass cages resist fatigue fracture under alternating vibration for harsh working conditions of mining vibrating screens and large ball mills.
Optimized roller crown profile evenly distributes load under vibration impact to extend fatigue service life of raceways.
Optional double-sided metal skeleton oil seal blocks intrusion of coal ash and ore dust into bearing cavity for open-air dusty mining environments.
General standardized dimensions enable direct interchange and replacement of original bearings for mainstream domestic fans, mining and cement equipment.
Typical Application Scenarios
Exciter bearings for mining linear vibrating screens and circular vibrating screens; main shaft bearings for boiler induced draft fans, dust removal fans and cooling tower fans; support bearings for cement ball mills, vertical roller mills and rotary kiln rollers; main shaft bearings for jaw crushers, cone crushers and hammer crushers; support bearings for long-distance mining belt conveyors and pulleys; heavy-duty bearings for steel sintering machines and metallurgical sinter trolleys; bearings for large wood chip crushers and straw crushing equipment.
Quality Assurance
NMT spherical roller bearings adopt quenching and tempering heat treatment for high-purity bearing steel with high consistency of spherical contour size for smooth and jitter-free self-alignment. Optimized roller curved surface reduces frictional heat from vibration. Compatible with lithium base grease and extreme-pressure industrial gear oil lubrication, operating temperature ranges from -30℃ to 150℃, adapting to complex working conditions such as dusty vibration in mines, high-temperature radiation from kilns and continuous high-speed operation of fans.
