Deep groove ball bearings feature circular arc deep raceways, with steel balls making four-point arc contact with raceways. It can bear radial load and slight bidirectional axial load simultaneously. Main sealing types include open non-sealed type, Z metal dust cover and 2RS rubber contact seal. Snap ring groove versions are available for easy axial positioning installation. Performance comparison: Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, it has compact lightweight structure and outstanding silencing performance with axial load capacity, yet greatly weakened radial rigidity unsuitable for heavy impact load. Compared with tapered roller bearings, it achieves higher limiting speed and lower operation vibration without capacity for large axial thrust. Compared with spherical roller bearings, it features lower cost, smaller size and excellent high-speed performance without eccentric self-aligning capacity, requiring basic assembly coaxiality. Shortcoming: Steel balls are prone to fatigue pitting under heavy impact load, unfit for heavy-duty impact equipment such as rolling mills and crushers.
