NMT Spherical Roller Bearings Self-Aligning Heavy Load Bearings for Cement Reducer, Mine Crusher and Vibrating Screen
Spherical roller bearings adopt a double-row convex roller structure with excellent self-aligning performance, which can compensate for angular deviation caused by shaft deflection, installation misalignment and base deformation. They are the core supporting bearings for vibrating equipment, eccentric force bearing and long-shaft transmission machinery. Composed of double-row spherical rollers, spherical inner ring, spherical outer ring, high-strength cage and multi-channel sealing structure, the rollers fit closely with the outer ring spherical surface. When the rotating shaft tilts and deviates, the rollers can deflect adaptively to avoid stress concentration at the roller edge, unilateral jamming and raceway eccentric wear failure, perfectly matching continuous severe vibration industrial equipment such as crushers and vibrating screens.
NMT spherical roller bearings feature a complete product portfolio covering full series standard spherical roller bearings including 22200, 22300, 23000, 23100, 23200, 24000 and 24100 series. We also provide reinforced heavy-duty thickened models, mounting versions with adapter sleeves, oil-sealed dust-proof models and high-temperature customized bearings. Standard spot sizes support quick replenishment, and non-standard modification based on equipment shaft diameter, load and rotating speed is available to meet the replacement of old imported equipment, supporting of domestic heavy-duty equipment and production line upgrading. Three cage options are available: solid brass cage, stamped steel cage and nylon cage for differentiated working conditions such as low-speed heavy load, impact vibration and clean lubrication.
Compared with cylindrical roller bearings and tapered roller bearings, the core advantage of NMT spherical roller bearings lies in self-aligning fault tolerance. When there is coaxiality error in equipment assembly, long-term load bending of main shaft or deformation of equipment base due to loose bolts, ordinary roller bearings are prone to fracture of single-side overloaded rollers, strip scratch of raceway and overheating seizure shutdown. The spherical structure of NMT can adapt to shaft inclination of 2°~3°, disperse eccentric load and avoid local high-pressure wear. Compared with self-aligning ball bearings, the double-row roller line contact structure increases radial load capacity and impact resistance by 4~10 times, fully meeting the heavy-load demands of heavy crushing and large-amplitude screening.
Mine stone crushers, circular vibrating screens, linear vibrating screens, cement plant ball mills, vertical mill reducers, rotary kiln support rollers, aggregate production lines, coal mine belt pulleys, steel sintering machines and asphalt mixing station drums operate under harsh conditions of high-frequency vibration, sand and dust erosion, intermittent impact load, alternating high and low temperature and easy loss of lubricating grease all year round. Low-end inferior spherical roller bearings generally suffer from poor roller contour accuracy, rough outer ring spherical processing, insufficient heat treatment hardness, weak cage strength and simple sealing structure leading to dust and oil leakage. Under long-term vibration, rapid pitting peeling of raceway, cage fracture and roller scattering, abrasive wear caused by dust entering the bearing cavity will occur, resulting in rapidly enlarged bearing clearance, aggravated main shaft runout and excessive equipment vibration. It will not only cause sharp noise, but also lead to gear tooth breakage, cylinder collision and frame cracking, frequent equipment shutdown for maintenance and sharply increased operation and maintenance costs.
All NMT spherical roller bearings are made of ESR refined bearing steel with extremely low inclusion content. Isothermal spheroidizing annealing is carried out after forging to refine internal grain structure and improve overall toughness and fatigue resistance. The raceways and spherical surfaces of inner and outer rings are treated with medium-frequency quenching and tempering stabilization. The surface hardness of raceways is uniform for wear and pitting resistance, and the core has sufficient toughness to resist alternating fatigue stress brought by continuous vibration. The convex rollers adopt logarithmic curve crowning modification with chamfer relief at both ends to avoid edge stress concentration. Each roller is sorted by size for uniform load distribution of double rows to prevent overload damage of single row. The outer ring spherical surface is ultra-precisely mirror polished for smooth self-aligning rotation without jamming, and no additional friction loss occurs under slight deviation.
Two mature sealing schemes are available: open type without seal for forced oil bath lubrication and high-speed heat dissipation working conditions; double skeleton oil seal type (2CS, CAK seal) with built-in dust retaining edge and rubber oil seal for double protection to block ore dust, cement ash, mud and water vapor from invading the bearing cavity and lock internal grease to extend grease replenishment cycle, suitable for open-pit mines and powder processing dusty scenarios.
Cage selection matches working conditions clearly: solid brass cage features high temperature resistance and vibration deformation resistance, suitable for low-speed high-temperature heavy-load working conditions of mills and rotary kilns; thickened stamped steel cage excels in instantaneous impact resistance for high-frequency impact scenarios of crushers and vibrating screens; glass fiber reinforced nylon cage has light weight and low friction coefficient for medium-load clean transmission equipment.
Finished products pass a full set of strict inspections before delivery: spherical contour detection, roller profile modification detection, raceway hardness flaw detection, impact fatigue simulation test, sealing dust-proof rain test and clearance grouping inspection. Four radial clearances (C2/C3/C4/C5) are strictly classified. Large clearance models C3 and C4 are standard for vibrating equipment to reserve expansion allowance for vibration and avoid seizure under high temperature and vibration. The operating temperature ranges from -25℃ to 160℃, compatible with lithium grease, extreme pressure grease, circulating engine oil and other lubricating media.
Heavy-duty equipment equipped with NMT spherical roller bearings enjoys strong fault tolerance of main shaft coaxiality, stable clearance during vibration operation, uniform raceway wear and greatly reduced dust intrusion. The service life of bearings is 2~3 times longer than that of ordinary miscellaneous bearings. The amplitude of vibrating screen box remains stable without abnormal shaking; the main shaft of crusher has no radial play for stable crushing cavity clearance and uniform discharge particle size; the cement reducer runs smoothly with stable gear meshing without impact to reduce gear loss.
With the development of mine, building material and metallurgical heavy equipment towards high power, high vibration and continuous non-stop production, inferior spherical roller bearings have short service life, easy dust ingress and rapid self-aligning failure, only applicable for short-term emergency use. Frequent bearing replacement delays production efficiency. Relying on four core technologies including spherical precision machining, roller load equalization modification, purified bearing steel heat treatment and multi-stage dust-proof sealing, NMT solves common industry problems such as bearing eccentric wear, cage fracture, dust abrasive wear, high-temperature seizure and self-aligning failure, providing stable and long-term bearing supporting solutions for heavy-duty vibrating equipment in mines, cement, aggregate and metallurgy industries.
