NMT Single Row Cylindrical Roller Bearing NU/NJ/NF/NUP Type High Rigidity Roller Bearing, Heavy Radial Load & Low Friction Precision Bearing for Reducer, Rolling Mill, Mining Conveyor Transmission
1. Pain Points of Heavy-Duty Transmission Equipment
Heavy-duty gear reducers, hot & cold rolling mills, mining belt conveyors, bucket elevators, large industrial fans, cement rollers and construction machinery gearboxes mainly bear huge pure radial loads, accompanied by occasional axial positioning force, continuous high-speed operation, impurity contamination in lubricating oil, alternating start-stop load and strict spindle rigidity requirements.
Most factories adopt deep groove ball bearings and economical roller bearings for original assembly, which have obvious defects. Ball bearings suffer indentation and deformation under heavy loads, sharp temperature rise at high speed and rapid grease carbonization failure. Low-end cylindrical roller bearings have impure steel, uneven roller end faces and insufficient hardness of ribs. Axial positioning will cause rib chipping and roller edge damage. Ordinary bearings have large dimensional dispersion of rollers and rough raceway grinding. Long-term heavy-load operation leads to strip wear of raceways, increased clearance, excessive spindle runout, offset gear meshing clearance, broken gear teeth, gearbox oil leakage and sudden shutdown of the whole transmission system.
Enterprises are troubled by uneven bearing service life, high oil temperature at high-speed positions, declined spindle positioning accuracy, frequent gear wear and high maintenance costs. The root cause is the lack of precision cylindrical roller bearings with high rigidity, highly unified roller size, reinforced ribs, which adapt to combined working conditions of heavy radial load and axial limit, resulting in long-term high consumption of wearing parts.
2. Product Core Advantages
Adopting Japanese precision rolling and superfinishing technology, NMT single row cylindrical roller bearings are divided into NU, NJ, NF and NUP four mainstream structures for free floating compensation, one-way axial positioning and two-way axial limit respectively. The products feature ultra-high radial load rigidity, low rolling friction, high limiting speed and stable axial positioning. It can be used as the floating end bearing of high-speed main shaft to compensate thermal elongation, or the fixed end bearing to lock axial displacement. It is perfectly matched with reducers, rolling mills, long-distance conveyor rollers and large fans requiring rigid support and precise transmission. Compared with ordinary domestic cylindrical roller bearings, the ultimate load capacity is increased by more than 25%, high-speed temperature rise is reduced by 15%, and the uniformity of roller wear is greatly improved, realizing long-term stable operation of the transmission system and reducing associated loss of gears, shafts and seals.
3. Structural Classification & Working Condition Matching
NU Type (double ribs on inner ring, no ribs on outer ring): The outer ring can slide axially freely, serving as the floating end bearing of transmission spindle to release additional axial stress caused by thermal expansion. Widely used in long-span conveyor rollers, large fan main shafts and floating positions of multi-stage reducers.
NJ Type (single rib on inner ring, double ribs on outer ring): Realizes one-way axial limit to resist unilateral axial thrust, suitable for low-speed output shafts of reducers, elevator drive rollers and rolling mill side positioning bearings to prevent one-way spindle displacement.
NF Type (single rib on outer ring, double ribs on inner ring): Opposite axial positioning structure to NJ type, applicable to compact gearboxes and construction machinery traveling transmission with limited assembly space.
NUP Type (fixed rib + loose retaining ring on inner ring): Locks spindle bidirectional axial movement completely. It acts as the main fixed-end bearing for rolling mill work rolls and large reducer main shafts to bear main radial load and bidirectional axial force.
The cylindrical straight roller adopts line contact structure to expand effective contact area, reduce unit contact stress and enhance extrusion resistance and anti-plastic deformation performance for continuous heavy-load operation.
4. Upgraded Raw Material & Heat Treatment
NMT single row cylindrical roller bearings adopt vacuum degassed high-carbon chromium bearing steel with strictly controlled internal inclusions to avoid early fatigue pitting caused by raw material defects. The overall quenching + local rib strengthening tempering process ensures high hardness of raceways and rollers for wear resistance. Secondary induction hardening on ribs strengthens impact resistance to prevent edge cracking under axial force. All rolling bodies are grouped by micron-level dimension to realize even load sharing and avoid premature failure of individual rollers.
Stabilization stress relief heat treatment eliminates residual stress from machining and quenching. The ring size remains stable under long-term high-temperature operation and load fluctuation, maintaining stable internal clearance and restraining spindle jitter caused by excessive clearance.
5. Superfinishing & Lubrication Adaptability
Mirror superfinishing is applied on inner & outer raceways and roller cylindrical surfaces to reduce surface roughness and rolling friction heat generation. The integrity of lubricating oil film can be maintained for a long time under oil bath lubrication or grease lubrication to avoid dry grinding seizure. Precision chamfering on bearing ends ensures smooth press fitting without scratching journal and housing bores for convenient on-site maintenance. Dust shields and contact oil seals can be installed on open-type bearings to block hard particles in dusty mining and cement environments and reduce abrasive wear.
6. Main Application Scenarios

7. Model Specification & After-Sales Service Advantage
NMT single row cylindrical roller bearings cover full standard models of N, NU, NJ, NF, NUP with standard international dimensions, which can directly replace imported bearings of NSK, SKF and FAG without machining modification. Standard C0 clearance and high-speed C3 clearance are in stock. Custom high-temperature tempered bearings and large-clearance versions are available for high-temperature rolling mills and high-speed fans.
All bearings pass radial load pressure test, axial impact test and high-speed temperature rise simulation test before delivery with complete test records. Professional engineers recommend the optimal structure and clearance according to rotating speed, radial load, axial force, operating temperature and lubrication mode to eliminate premature damage caused by incorrect selection. It effectively cuts spare parts procurement cost, shortens maintenance downtime and improves production line operating rate for industrial enterprises.
