1. Ball Mill Structure & Core Bearing Function

The feed end, discharge end, transmission end and auxiliary connection parts of the ball mill are all supported by spherical roller bearings. As the core load-bearing component, bearings bear the static and dynamic impact load of the cylinder, steel balls and materials, directly determining the operation stability, grinding efficiency and overall service life of the equipment. Bearing failure will directly cause the whole production line to stop, which is the key maintenance part of industrial and mining equipment.
Ball mills operate 24/7 under extreme working conditions including low-speed heavy load, high-frequency impact, dense dust, water vapor mixture, eccentric load, alternating vibration, temperature difference change and continuous high temperature. Ordinary bearings are prone to multiple failures:
• Ultrafine hard dust invades the cavity, causing abrasive wear, increased clearance and spindle shaking;
• Cylinder deflection and foundation settlement cause eccentric load, leading to roller overload and fracture;
• Continuous operation heat accumulation leads to grease carbonization, dry friction and high-temperature seizure;
• Frequent start-stop instantaneous overload causes surface peeling and structural loosening.
Ball mill bearing failure will trigger chain losses: 4-8 days of single equipment shutdown leading to raw material accumulation and finished material shortage; frequent bearing replacement increases spare parts cost; complex disassembly and hoisting maintenance raise labor cost; abnormal operation causes secondary damage to spindle, seal and reducer; increased operation resistance leads to excessive power consumption.
Super Large Self-Aligning Structure: Widened thickened double-row spherical rollers achieve ±5° large-angle self-aligning compensation, adapt to cylinder deflection and eccentric deformation, balance composite load and eliminate eccentric load damage. Thickened forged rollers enhance impact resistance and bearing capacity.
Integrated Brass Solid Cage: One-piece CNC machined brass cage with ultra-high rigidity, no deformation or fracture under severe vibration, high temperature and humidity. Accurately limits rolling elements to prevent spindle jamming accidents.
Working Condition Customized Clearance: C3 enlarged clearance for main bearings to compensate thermal deformation; C4 oversized clearance for transmission bearings to buffer vibration impact; standard clearance for auxiliary bearings to stabilize equipment operation.
