NMT Tapered Roller Bearings, Automobile Axle & Differential Bearings, Construction Machinery Reducer Tapered Roller Bearings Factory Bulk Supply
1. Common Bearing Failures of Vehicles and Reducers
Heavy-duty trucks and dump trucks operate under full-load climbing and sharp turning for long periods. The differential of vehicle axles bears continuous bidirectional axial impact. Ordinary cylindrical bearings cannot withstand axial force, resulting in rapid expansion of internal bearing clearance, buzzing noise during driving, and even roller detachment in severe cases, leading to rear axle locking and vehicle breakdown.
Traveling reducers of wheel loaders and excavators work in muddy and gravel environments for a long time. Dust easily enters the bearing fitting surface and causes rapid deterioration of grease. Uneven wear occurs on the end face of tapered bearings, disordering the meshing clearance of reducer gears, resulting in gear tooth breakage and high cost of overall overhaul.
Wheel hub bearings of agricultural machinery and mining traveling equipment suffer frequent bump impact. Conventional bearings have insufficient cage strength, leading to cage fracture under alternating load, scattered rolling elements and shaft locking to stop equipment movement.
During high-speed gear shifting and sudden torque change, the output shaft of gearbox has large axial movement. Ordinary bearings have weak limiting capacity to aggravate shaft end runout, accelerate oil seal wear and oil leakage to form a vicious cycle.
NMT optimizes tapered roller profile, surface hardness after heat treatment and cage structure to adapt to complex composite load conditions of vehicle transmission and construction machinery traveling mechanism, and extend the maintenance cycle of transmission system.
2. Core Advantages of NMT Tapered Roller Bearings
Composite load structure for bidirectional radial & axial force bearing
The fitting structure of tapered rollers and tapered raceways can bear huge radial load and bidirectional axial thrust after pre-tightening assembly. It is suitable for core positions requiring axial positioning such as vehicle axles and gearboxes to control axial movement of transmission shafts and stabilize gear meshing accuracy. Two assembly solutions are available: single bearing limit and back-to-back paired dual bearing limit.
Roller crown modification to eliminate edge pitting
Logarithmic crown grinding is applied on the large end face of all rolling elements. When the bearing bears eccentric load or shaft inclination, load distributes evenly along the full length of rollers to eliminate stress concentration at sharp corners on both ends, avoiding rapid wear and peeling at roller ends under high-speed heavy load. Service life is over 60% longer than straight-edge rollers.
Deep carburizing quenching for hard surface & tough core
Inner rings, outer rings and rollers adopt carburizing quenching heat treatment. The bearing surface has high hardness for wear resistance while the core retains toughness. It resists surface abrasion caused by sand and gravel particles and avoids cracking or edge chipping under heavy impact, perfectly adapting to dusty open-air working conditions.
Thickened solid steel cage for vibration resistance & anti-dispersion
Thickened stamped steel or solid steel cage is adopted. Compared with brass cages, it performs better in vibration and impact resistance, suitable for vehicle bumping and continuous vibration of construction machinery. It is hard to deform and crack under long-term alternating load to prevent failure caused by roller falling off.
Multi-specification selection for full-scene coverage
Single-row tapered roller bearings: heavy truck wheel hubs, intermediate shafts of gearboxes, agricultural vehicle axles;
Double-row tapered roller bearings: large reducers, mining traveling main shafts, large trailer steering axles;
Integrated wheel hub bearing units: integrated hub assemblies for trucks and buses to simplify assembly procedures.
Customization of paired preload, clearance and non-standard dimensions is supported according to customer requirements.
3. Main Application Scenarios
Commercial Vehicle & Heavy Truck Transmission System
Differential bearings, main reducer bearings, wheel hub bearings, input & output shaft bearings of front/rear axles for tractors, dump trucks and semi-trailers. Stable performance during long-distance full-load driving reduces high-speed abnormal noise and rear axle failure.
Construction Machinery Equipment
Travel reducer, swing reducer and drive axle bearings for wheel loaders, excavators and bulldozers. Anti-fouling and wear-resistant performance in gravel and mud construction sites ensures continuous construction of engineering machinery.
Agricultural Machinery Equipment
Axle, gearbox and traveling hub bearings for tractors, harvesters and rotary tillers. Excellent durability under bumpy farmland and mud immersion to avoid downtime maintenance during busy farming seasons.
Mining Heavy-Duty Travel Equipment
Wheel-side reducer and support roller bearings for mining wide-body vehicles and underground loaders. Stable operation under heavy load bumping and ore impact.
Industrial Gearbox & Conveying Equipment
Bearings for screw reducers, gear reducers and head drive of large belt conveyors. Limit axial displacement of transmission shafts, stabilize gear transmission accuracy and reduce vibration noise of the box.
Forklift & Port Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Steering axle and drive axle bearings for internal combustion forklifts and container trailers. Stably bear axial load brought by frequent steering and start-stop.
4. Assembly, Operation & Maintenance Guidelines
Key control of pre-tightening assembly
Tapered roller bearings eliminate internal clearance via axial pre-tightening. Lock nuts shall be tightened according to torque specified in equipment manual during assembly of vehicle axles and reducers. Excessive pre-tightening will cause high temperature and burnout of bearings; insufficient pre-tightening leads to abnormal noise from axial clearance. Back-to-back installation of paired bearings improves rigidity.
Lubrication protection management
High-temperature extreme pressure lithium grease is selected for vehicle wheel hubs and reducer bearings. Refill grease every 200 hours for heavy-duty construction machinery to squeeze out deteriorated grease mixed with water and dust. Inspect oil seal integrity timely after wading operation to prevent mud and water from entering bearing cavity.
Disassembly precautions
Do not knock the bearing outer ring directly during disassembly; use puller tool for integral disassembly. Hot mounting temperature shall be controlled below 110℃ to avoid tempering and reduction of surface hardness. Mark paired bearings after disassembly to prevent mixed assembly.
Storage management
Place bearings vertically to avoid outer ring deformation under compression. Seal and store with original anti-rust oil. Assemble as soon as possible after unpacking; open-air storage will cause raceway rust and precision damage.
