2 Structure & Operating Characteristics

Japan NMT 7001 CE/HCP4ADGB is an E-type high-speed precision angular contact matched set bearing of 70 series with 15° contact angle. The 15° small contact angle combined with E-type optimized high-speed raceway reduces rolling friction and raises limiting speed, suitable for sustained high-speed operation. Integrated inner and outer rings maintain stable rigidity and minimize deformation under assembly force. Composite material construction lowers self-weight and centrifugal force to improve high-speed dynamic performance.

Supplied as universal matched set containing two precision-matched bearings. Users can select back-to-back, face-to-face or tandem arrangement based on shaft load, overturning moment and support span. Standard factory setting is light preload with low friction heat generation, ideal for equipment prioritizing high speed with moderate axial loads.

Open seal-free design eliminates friction from sealing elements, compatible with high-speed oil-air lubrication and long-service grease lubrication. No pre-filled lubricant inside; equipment manufacturers can select appropriate lubricants according to operating temperature and target speed. Total width 16 mm with compact outline facilitating miniaturized equipment design.

3 Core Performance Advantages

1. Universal Flexible Matched Set: Two precision-matched bearings support three assembly layouts on site to meet various shaft load requirements.

2. Light Preload Optimized for High Speed: Low heat generation and friction, maximizing rotational speed for long continuous high-speed operation.

3. E-Type High-Speed Raceway Optimization: Reduces rolling element sliding, suppresses heat generation and enhances stability under high-speed conditions.

4. 15° Small Contact Angle Geometry: Focuses on high-speed capability with balanced radial load capacity, suitable for mainly radial loads plus moderate axial loads.

5. Composite Bearing Material: Lighter weight lowers centrifugal force at high speed and lifts speed ceiling.

6. P4A Ultra-Precision Grade: Strict control of radial and axial runout to maintain long-term high-precision rotation for high-speed machinery.

7. Integrated Inner & Outer Rings: Stable structural strength resists assembly deformation and retains precision during prolonged operation.

4 Typical Application Scenarios

4.1 High-Speed Small Precision Machining Spindles: High-speed PCB drilling spindles, small engraving & milling spindles, rotary units for micro grinding equipment.

4.2 High-Speed Automated Precision Mechanisms: High-speed robot joints, precision high-speed indexing turntables, miniature rotary assemblies for semiconductor transport.

4.3 Optical & High-Speed Inspection Equipment: Rotary mechanisms for high-speed image measuring instruments, rotary shafts for optical scanning platforms, high-speed precision inspection fixtures.

4.4 Lightweight High-Speed Precision Machinery: Rotary shafts for small high-speed textile machinery, laboratory high-speed rotary instruments, miniature high-speed medical transmission components.

5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines

5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards

P4A high-precision matched set bearings must be installed in dust-free clean environment. Remove burrs, dust and metal debris on shaft journals, housing bores and spacer mating surfaces. Thermal mounting is preferred. Direct impact on raceways and working surfaces is prohibited. Use bearings as a complete set; avoid mixing split bearings with other batches to preserve matching accuracy. Control interference fit properly: excessive interference causes temperature rise; insufficient interference leads to outer ring creep and abrasion.

5.2 Universal Matching Layout & Light Preload Instructions

7001 CE/HCP4ADGB is a universal matched set without fixed factory layout. Characteristics of three assembly options:

Back-to-back <> : strong resistance to overturning moment, suitable for high-speed spindles with long span and overturning loads;

Face-to-face >< : excellent axial positioning accuracy, ideal for short-span high-speed shafts requiring precise axial location;

Tandem >> : maximized unidirectional axial load capacity for continuous single-direction axial loads.

Standard light preload features low heat generation at high speed. If subjected to large combined axial loads for long periods, recalculate bearing service life. Do not grind spacers to increase preload without mechanical calculation.

5.3 Lubrication Matching Solutions

No pre-filled lubricant inside bearing. Oil-air circulating lubrication is preferred for extreme high speed; low-viscosity special high-speed grease can be adopted for regular continuous operation. Mixing different lubricants is forbidden. Thoroughly clean residual old lubricant before replacement.

5.4 Speed Parameter Note

Achievable limit speed refers to corresponding official SKF technical data. Actual operating speed is restricted by load, preload level, heat dissipation and lubrication. Maintain sufficient safety margin for speed under continuous full-load high-speed operation.

6 Daily Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting

Carry out low-speed no-load trial run after assembly, increase speed gradually, continuously monitor vibration, noise and temperature rise. Formal operation can start only after stable working condition confirmed. Open construction has no built-in protection against dust and cutting fluid. External sealing must be installed at shaft end if contaminants or moisture exist.

Replenish and replace lubricants regularly according to maintenance schedule to sustain effective oil film on raceways. If continuous abnormal noise, precision drift or overheating occurs during operation, prioritize checking assembly interference, matching arrangement, foreign particle intrusion and lubrication failure. Avoid severe impact loads which may induce permanent deformation of integrated rings.
