Speed note: The 15° small contact angle reduces friction torque and heat generation during high-speed rotation, enabling higher limiting speed compared to larger contact angle variants. D-type design optimizes rolling element load zone to balance high-speed performance and load capacity. Designed for single-unit application; duplex arrangement is forbidden.
2 Structure & Operating Characteristics
Japan NMT 7006 CD/P4A is a high-speed precision angular contact ball bearing of 7006 size with 15° high-load D-type design and integrated bearing steel rings. D-type raceway profile optimizes load distribution on rolling elements to improve dynamic load rating.
This bearing is designed for single independent mounting and not applicable for DB/DF/DT duplex sets. Open configuration supports both grease and oil-air high-speed lubrication; no lubricant pre-filled inside bearing.
Bearing steel delivers high hardness and stable wear resistance. The 15° contact angle offers moderate axial stiffness and low friction, ideal for continuous high-speed applications. Compared with 25° variants, it achieves much higher maximum speed, targeting high-speed finishing spindles, yet its resistance to overturning moment is limited, not recommended for heavy moment loads.
3 Core Performance Advantages
1. High-Load D Geometry + 15° Contact Angle: Low friction torque, excellent heat control and outstanding high-speed limit.
2. Defined speed ratings for two lubrication modes: Grease & oil-air speed data support direct spindle layout design.
3. Bearing Steel Substrate: High hardness and abrasion resistance, stable dimensional performance under prolonged high-speed operation.
4. P4A Precision Grade: Strict rotary runout control to retain machining accuracy at high rotating speed.
5. Open Seal-Free Construction: Eliminates seal friction loss, optimizes heat dissipation and fully compatible with high-speed oil-air lubrication systems.
4 Typical Application Scenarios
4.1 CNC High-Speed Engraving Spindles: Woodworking & mould high-speed engraving-milling spindles.
4.2 Compact High-Speed Grinding Spindles: Internal grinding & tool grinding high-speed units.
4.3 High-Speed Rotary Units for Precision Instruments: High-speed test rotary shafts, supports for small precision centrifugal equipment.
5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines
5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards
P4A high-precision bearings must be assembled in dust-free clean environment. Thoroughly remove burrs and contaminants from shaft and housing mating surfaces. Controlled thermal mounting is recommended. Never strike bearing rings or raceways directly. Duplex mounting is prohibited.
5.2 Matching Layout & Preload Instructions
This model is engineered for single independent installation. Do not combine multiple bearings into DB/DF/DT arrangements. Arrange proper axial positioning via end caps and spacers; avoid forced preloading.
5.3 Lubrication Matching Solutions
No pre-filled lubricant inside bearing. Oil-air lubrication recommended for continuous operation near limit speed; premium high-speed grease can be adopted for intermittent medium-low speed operation. Do not mix different lubricant types. Maintain lubrication supply system periodically.
5.4 Speed Parameter Note
32,000 r/min (grease) and 48,000 r/min (oil-air) are theoretical reference limits. A safety margin of 15%~25% is suggested for loaded operation. Maximum allowable speed shall be reduced as applied load increases.
6 Daily Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting
Execute stepwise low-speed running-in after assembly; monitor temperature rise and vibration continuously before ramping up to working speed. Open design provides no dust protection; external labyrinth or contact seals must be installed for machining environments.
Ensure stable and continuous lubrication supply to prevent dry friction. In case of rapid temperature rise, abnormal vibration or noise, check over-speed status, lubrication supply and mounting coaxiality. Avoid long-term shock loads.
