Precision class: P4A precision grade
Material: Hybrid ceramic bearing (steel rings + silicon nitride ceramic rolling elements)
Seal: Open type, no seal
Note: The 15° small contact angle reduces axial component force and centrifugal resistance, delivering higher limiting DN speed than 25° versions, ideal for ultra-high speed & light-load conditions. HC hybrid ceramic design provides electrical insulation to block shaft current and prevent electric pitting. Ceramic balls feature lower density, lower heat generation and less dynamic friction at high speed. Open design eliminates seal drag and is only recommended for continuous oil-air lubrication; long-term grease lubrication under high speed is prohibited. Higher procurement cost compared with all-steel bearings, targeted for high-end precision spindle applications. Open structure offers no dust protection; labyrinth or air curtain dust-proof assembly must be equipped on equipment.
2 Structure & Operating Characteristics
Japan NMT 7010 CD/HCP4A is size 7010 ultra-precision hybrid ceramic single angular contact ball bearing with 15° contact angle. Inner and outer rings are manufactured from high-carbon chromium bearing steel with ultra-precision mirror grinding. Rolling elements adopt high-purity silicon nitride ceramic balls with strict control on dimensional accuracy and roundness.
The 15° small contact angle geometry adapts to ultra-high speed with medium axial load. Lightweight ceramic balls reduce rolling resistance and heat generation compared with steel balls under high rotation, and insulate against shaft current to eliminate electric corrosion in motor spindles. Supplied as loose single bearings without factory pre-matching. Users can select DB bidirectional load layout, DF high-rigidity layout or DT heavy unidirectional load tandem layout according to spindle load requirements. Widely used for high-speed engraving & milling motor spindles, PCB high-speed drilling spindles, grinding machine high-speed spindles and various precision CNC machines prone to shaft current.
3 Core Performance Advantages
1. 15° CD small contact angle: Low centrifugal load, high limiting speed, suitable for ultra-high speed light to medium load applications.
2. HC hybrid ceramic structure: Silicon nitride ceramic balls insulate against electric corrosion, lightweight, lower temperature rise and longer fatigue life at high speed.
3. P4A high precision grade: Strict control of rotational runout to maintain stable machining accuracy under continuous high-speed operation.
4. Open single bearing design: No seal friction loss, matching design requirements of oil-air lubricated high-speed spindles.
5. Flexible on-site pairing: Bearings from the same batch can be freely assembled into DB/DF/DT multi-set combinations.
5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines
5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards
P4A precision hybrid ceramic bearings must be assembled in constant-temperature dust-free cleanroom. Remove all burrs, dust and metal debris on shaft and housing mating surfaces. Apply controlled thermal mounting with strictly limited heating temperature; avoid direct heating on ceramic balls. Never strike bearing rings or ceramic rolling elements; ceramic balls are brittle and prone to invisible cracks upon impact. Select bearings from identical batch for pairing assembly.
5.2 Matching & Preload Instructions
Supplied as single bearings without factory pre-matching. DB, DF, DT layout and preload value (light preload L1 preferred) are adjusted via spacers on site. ⚠️Light preload L1 is mandatory for ultra-high speed scenarios; medium or heavy preload is forbidden to avoid sharp temperature rise and seizure. DB/DF layout for alternating bidirectional loads; DT tandem layout for continuous unidirectional axial loads.
Application reminder: Choose 7010 ACEGA/HCP4A (25° hybrid ceramic) for working conditions with heavy axial cutting load.
5.3 Lubrication Matching Solutions
No pre-filled grease or oil. Oil-air forced circulation lubrication is compulsory for long continuous ultra-high speed operation. Special high-speed spindle grease is only acceptable for intermittent short-cycle operation. Ceramic bearings demand extremely high lubricant cleanliness; install precision filters in oil circuit. Do not mix lubricants of different brands or types; regularly inspect oil circuit pressure and cleanliness.
5.4 Speed Parameter Note
Limit DN value far exceeds all-steel bearings and 25° hybrid ceramic bearings of identical size. Still reserve sufficient safety margin according to preload level and cooling conditions. Appropriately reduce maximum operating speed under long-term high ambient temperature.
6 Daily Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting
Carry out extended multi-stage low-speed running-in after assembly; gradually increase to operating speed only after temperature rise and vibration stabilize. Open bearings have no built-in dust shield; front spindle dust-proof structure cannot be omitted.
Maintain continuous clean lubrication supply; oil starvation dry grinding will easily cause ceramic rolling element fracture. In case of abnormal temperature rise, high-pitched noise or sharp vibration growth, sequentially check: oil supply & cleanliness, excessive preload, assembly coaxiality, dust-proof sealing integrity and overload status.
