Model: 7016 ACD/P4AQBCC

Code Definition

7016: Basic dimension of 70 series light-duty single-row angular contact ball bearing

ACD: 15° nominal contact angle, machined solid brass cage, optimized for high speed and radial load capacity

P4AQBCC: ISO P4 precision grade, factory duplex end-ground matched specification; QBCC represents standard DB back-to-back factory duplex set with exclusive matching serial numbers. End faces are lapped and calibrated in factory with standard preload reference preset.

Supply form: Factory duplex bearing set (DB back-to-back arrangement), set cannot be separated and mixed with other bearings.

Important reminder: This bearing set is factory duplex lapped with unique matching serial number for each set. It is strictly prohibited to take bearings out of the set and assemble with other single bearings arbitrarily, which will damage matching accuracy, cause uneven preload, excessive vibration and accelerated spindle precision loss.

Note: ACD stands for 15° small contact angle. Compared with 25° CE matched bearings, it achieves higher limiting speed and stronger radial rigidity while axial load capacity is lower. Suitable for operating conditions dominated by radial cutting load requiring sustained high rotating speed. P4AQBCC undergoes factory duplex lapping. Compared with assembling single bearings with on-site spacers, it delivers higher consistency of end face parallelism, uniform preload distribution after assembly and greatly reduces commissioning workload. Open structure prioritizes oil-air forced lubrication; long-term continuous high-speed grease lubrication is not recommended. The all-steel matched set provides favorable cost performance and stable machining accuracy under stable lubrication conditions.

2 Structure & Operating Characteristics

Japan NMT 7016 ACD/P4AQBCC is factory duplex open-type all-steel super precision angular contact ball bearing of 7016 series with 15° contact angle. Inner and outer rings adopt high-carbon chromium bearing steel with stabilized heat treatment to eliminate internal residual stress. Raceways are processed via multi-process ultra-precision mirror finishing with strictly controlled surface roughness to realize low-vibration, low-noise smooth rotation.

Rolling elements are high-precision graded all-steel balls with uniform load distribution. Matched machined solid brass cage maintains stable dimension and creep resistance under high temperature, meeting the demand of long-time non-stop continuous machining of CNC equipment.

The bearing adopts open non-sealed design to eliminate friction loss caused by sealing components. Plain standard outer ring fits spindles adopting built-in housing oil channels. End faces of two bearings are lapped and calibrated uniformly in factory, delivered as standard DB back-to-back set. Machine manufacturers can directly lock and fix during assembly without on-site precision spacer lapping, shortening spindle assembly and commissioning cycle.

3 Core Performance Advantages

1. ACD 15° small contact angle: Excellent limiting speed performance and outstanding radial rigidity, suitable for high-speed light to medium radial cutting working conditions.

2. Factory DB duplex lapped set: End faces matched and ground in factory with matching serial numbers. Ready for direct assembly without spacer lapping, uniform preload stress distribution.

3. P4AQBCC matched P4 super precision grade: Strict screening control on rotational runout and end face parallelism for duplex set, lower vibration level after combination and long-term retention of spindle machining accuracy.

4. All-steel rolling element construction: Mature and reliable all-steel configuration, balanced load bearing capacity, lower comprehensive operation cost and stable service life with sufficient lubrication.

5. Open non-sealed construction: Eliminates seal friction loss, fully compatible with oil-air forced lubrication and circulating oil cooling lubrication systems.

5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines

5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards

P4AQBCC super precision matched bearings must be assembled in constant-temperature dust-free clean workshops. Completely remove all burrs, metal debris and contaminants on shaft and housing fitting surfaces. Controlled thermal mounting method is recommended; open-flame heating, direct striking of bearing rings are forbidden to avoid indentation damage and early fatigue failure.

Important reminder: This product is complete duplex matched bearing set with one-to-one corresponding matching serial number. Disassembling the set and mixing with bearings of other models or batches is prohibited. Failure of matching accuracy will lead to intensified vibration, abnormal temperature rise and premature bearing failure.

5.2 Pairing & Preload Instructions

Supply condition: Two bearings form one DB back-to-back matched set with exclusive serial number; fixed set cannot be split and recombined.

Standard assembly layout: DB back-to-back (factory preset matching form)

Selection tips:

Ultra-high speed, shaft current risk, graphite dry machining → Prioritize HC hybrid ceramic ball matched bearing set;

Radial load dominated, pursue maximum rotating speed, simplify assembly, no electrocorrosion risk → Prioritize this model 7016 ACD/P4AQBCC;

Heavy axial cutting load, higher axial rigidity required → Select CE 25° contact angle matched bearing series;

Multi-stack bearing arrangement with three or more bearings, flexible preload adjustment required → Choose P4ADGA single bearings matched with precision spacers.

5.3 Lubrication Matching Scheme

No pre-filled grease. Oil-air forced circulation lubrication is preferred; circulating oil cooling lubrication is also acceptable. Long-duration continuous high-speed grease lubrication is not suggested. High-precision filters shall be installed in lubrication pipelines. Hard impurities will easily scratch mirror raceway surfaces. Mixing lubricants from different brands or base oil types is prohibited. Replace filter elements regularly to maintain lubricant cleanliness and extend bearing service life.

5.4 Speed Parameter Note

ACD 15° contact angle design is naturally suitable for high-speed working conditions, delivering higher continuous rotating speed compared with 25° contact angle matched bearings of identical size. The whole machine should be equipped with sufficient cooling system and adequate speed safety margin. Open bearings have no built-in dust prevention. Bearing housing must adopt reliable external sealing against dust and cutting fluid to avoid abrasive wear caused by foreign matter intrusion.

6 Daily Maintenance & Fault Troubleshooting

After bearing assembly, implement multi-stage low-speed running-in, continuously monitor temperature rise and vibration data. Raise rotating speed to rated value only after all indicators stabilize. Closely track spindle temperature variation during running-in period. Regularly inspect external housing sealing condition, lubrication pipeline pressure and flow rate to guarantee stable continuous oil supply.

When persistent abnormal noise, rapid temperature rise or growing vibration occurs, check sequentially: lubricant cleanliness, assembly coaxial precision, excessive axial preload force, whether matched bearing set is split and mixed, external impact load, dust or cutting fluid intrusion into bearing interior.

Typical failure modes of all-steel precision duplex angular contact bearings include raceway fatigue spalling, abrasive wear, overheating seizure due to insufficient lubrication, edge loading caused by misalignment, accelerated fatigue under excessive preload, surface scratches from foreign particles, accuracy loss caused by disassembling matched bearing set. Establish regular online monitoring system for temperature and vibration to detect early damage and prevent unexpected spindle shutdown.
