Suffix Explanation

N: Single row cylindrical roller bearing without outer ribs. Separable construction allows high roller surface speed, commonly used as radial support for high-speed spindles.

1010: Ultra-light Series 10 with compact cross-section prioritizing high limiting speed, widely used for medium & small high-speed precision spindles.

TN: Standard polyamide roller-guided cage with low friction loss. Continuous operating temperature ≤120°C. TNHA reinforced cage variant available for sustained long-term high-speed service.

/SP: Super precision spindle grade, tighter accuracy than standard P4 class, precisely controlled rotational runout to sustain consistent finishing accuracy.

Important reminder: Ribless outer ring cannot support axial load alone. Spindle system must use matched precision angular contact ball bearings for axial support. Continuous operating temperature exceeding 120°C is prohibited for TN standard polyamide cage. Preload is fixed by spacers for straight bore design and cannot be adjusted after assembly. Hammer impact assembly forbidden; thermal mounting or dedicated hydraulic pressing tooling recommended. Taper bore alternative: N1010 KTN/SP. Reinforced cage variant: N1010 TNHA/SP. Hybrid ceramic variant: N1010 TN/HC5SP.

2 Structure & Operating Characteristics

N 1010 TN/SP super precision single row cylindrical roller bearing adopts all-steel rollers and standard TN polyamide cage. Thin Series 10 cross-section is optimized for high-speed operation. Standard cylindrical bore fits mass production lines of modular spindles with fixed preload set by spacers, ensuring consistent assembly quality. TN polyamide cage reduces frictional heat generation. /SP super precision machining minimizes rotational runout and stabilizes dimensional accuracy during finishing. Separable ring design simplifies spindle disassembly, maintenance and component replacement.

Selection reference:

N1010 TN/SP (straight bore standard polyamide cage + SP super precision, mass-produced fixed-preload high-speed spindle modules)

N1010 KTN/SP (1:12 taper bore standard polyamide cage SP grade, spindles with adjustable preload on assembly)

N1010 TNHA/SP (straight bore reinforced polyamide cage SP grade, sustained long-term high-speed applications)

N1010 TN/HC5SP (straight bore polyamide cage SP grade with HC5 silicon nitride ceramic rollers for higher limiting speed & lower heat)

Matched bearings: 7010 series precision angular contact ball bearings for axial load support.

3 Core Performance Advantages

1. Ultra-light Series 10 thin cross-section achieves higher limiting speed while maintaining basic radial rigidity, fitting the layout of medium & small high-speed precision spindles.

2. Standard cylindrical inner bore compatible with mass production of modular spindles; fixed preload via spacers ensures excellent consistency in batch assembly.

3. TN polyamide roller-guided cage is lightweight with low friction coefficient, effectively controlling temperature rise during medium & high-speed operation.

4. /SP super precision grade delivers tightly controlled rotational runout, maintaining stable machining accuracy for high-speed engraving & milling and small-scale grinding processes.

5. Separable N-type construction simplifies disassembly and maintenance, suitable for line production and field replacement of standardized high-speed spindle units.

4 Typical Application Fields

4.1 Medium & Small Mass-Produced High-Speed Precision Spindle Modules

Small high-speed CNC lathes, general small internal & cylindrical grinders, high-speed engraving & milling machines, PCB drilling spindle units

4.2 Modular mass-assembly high-speed rotary units without post-assembly preload adjustment

Modular small grinding power heads, precision high-speed rotary test fixtures, light-duty high-speed motor spindles

4.3 Precision rotary machinery dominated by radial loads, balancing speed and rigidity, adopting spacer fixed-preload design

5 Assembly Specifications & Usage Guidelines

5.1 Assembly Environment & Operation Standards

Super precision bearings must be assembled in clean, constant-temperature dust-free workshops. All mating components shall be thoroughly cleaned of chips, oil and contaminants. Preload is accurately controlled by precision spacers; forced squeezing to create preload is forbidden. Never strike bearing faces; thermal mounting or dedicated hydraulic pressing tooling is recommended. After assembly, perform long-duration no-load temperature run-in starting from low speed with gradual speed ramp-up. Shaft journal and housing bore geometric tolerances shall comply with /SP precision standards. Respect TN cage temperature limit to avoid prolonged over-temperature operation.

5.2 Selection Guidance

Mass production standardized modules, spacer fixed preload, medium-high speed → N1010 TN/SP

Flexible on-site preload adjustment required during assembly → N1010 KTN/SP

Continuous non-stop high-speed operation requiring reinforced cage → N1010 TNHA/SP

Higher limiting speed and lower temperature rise required, ceramic rolling elements preferred → N1010 TN/HC5SP

Significant axial load exists: Combine this bearing with matched 7010 series precision angular contact ball bearings.

5.3 Lubrication Maintenance Instruction

No lubricant pre-filled at factory. High-speed spindle grease for medium-low speed; oil-air lubrication recommended for high speed. Long-term oil bath lubrication is not advised. Target steady-state temperature rise ≤26K; avoid continuous temperature over 120°C for TN standard polyamide cage. If temperature rises abnormally and persistently, inspect preload, lubricant cleanliness and supply status immediately.

5.4 Environmental Application Notes

No built-in seals. Spindle assembly shall be fitted with oil seals or labyrinth seals to block coolant and dust ingress. Long-term axial load and shock loads are prohibited; shock indentations permanently damage rotational precision. Minimize frequent severe thermal cycling to slow dimensional variation of bearing rings.

6 Fault Identification

Common failure modes: Abnormal temperature rise during operation, gradual increase of spindle radial runout, periodic abnormal noise, raceway impact indentations, stress spalling on roller edges, continuous deterioration of machining accuracy. Stop equipment immediately once accuracy drops obviously or continuous abnormal noise appears. Bearings with damaged raceways or rollers cannot be repaired and require complete replacement.
