NMT Tapered Roller Bearings Heavy-Duty Tapered Roller Bearings For Reducers, Vehicle Differentials & Mining Equipment
Tapered roller bearings adopt matching structure of tapered rollers and tapered inner & outer raceways, capable of bearing huge combined radial load and unidirectional axial load simultaneously. Featuring separable inner assembly and outer ring for easy installation and disassembly, the tapered contact surface delivers outstanding impact resistance and heavy-load capacity. Bearings must be installed in reverse pairs to offset bidirectional axial force, serving as core load-bearing bearings for heavy-duty gear reducers, truck axle differentials, engineering machinery, mineral crushers, loaders and steel rolling equipment. Four mainstream series are available: 32900 (compact narrow series), 30200 (standard general-purpose), 32200 (reinforced heavy-duty), 32000 (large taper angle for high axial load) to match diverse load and axial force distribution demands.
Compared with deep groove ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings, tapered roller bearings adopt line-contact rolling elements for multiply improved load capacity and impact resistance for bumpy heavy-load conditions. Versus cylindrical roller bearings, integrated axial load capacity eliminates the need for additional thrust bearings to restrict axial play. The main drawback is low limiting rotating speed, unsuitable for high-speed scenarios. Precise preload clearance control is required during assembly for low-speed, heavy-load, high-shock transmission and load-bearing structures with axial component force.
Heavy-duty gear reducers, heavy truck axles and mineral crushing equipment operate under continuous full-load impact conditions. Inferior tapered roller bearings suffer inconsistent roller taper and insufficient raceway quenching hardness, leading to roller skew and raceway pitting spalling under heavy load. Weak cage rigidity causes cage deformation and collapse under impact load, abnormal bearing clearance resulting in enlarged gear meshing clearance, abnormal axle noise and spindle oscillation of crushers. Consequences include gear tooth breakage, axle damage and long-term shutdown overhaul of crushers, bringing massive production suspension losses for mining and logistics enterprises.
NMT tapered roller bearings cover full mainstream heavy-duty series: 32900, 30200, 32200, 32000, complete with single-row and double-row assemblies. Manufactured with carburized and quenched bearing steel for overall structural reinforcement, tapered rollers undergo precision forming grinding, finish machining on roller big-end thrust faces and superfinishing of inner & outer raceways for strict control of taper coaxiality. Clearance grading calibration is completed before delivery, and standard international dimensions support direct replacement of domestic and imported heavy-duty tapered roller bearings for new reducer assembly, truck axle maintenance and overhaul renovation of mining engineering machinery.
Heavy engineering machinery, commercial vehicles and industrial reducers are upgraded toward large tonnage and high-intensity continuous operation. Conventional tapered roller bearings have poor roller contour precision, thin hardened layer after heat treatment and insufficient cage toughness. Long-term heavy-load impact causes rapid raceway wear and edge stress cracking of rollers, failing to meet demands of 24-hour continuous heavy crushing in mines, full-load long-distance driving of heavy trucks and sustained torque output of high-power reducers. The market demands heavy-duty tapered roller bearings with high toughness, thick hardened layer and accurate taper.
NMT tapered rollers are processed with full-size precision grinding for unified overall taper, enabling full-length uniform fitting between rollers and raceways under load to avoid edge stress concentration and corner chipping failure. Inner and outer rings adopt deep carburizing quenching for sufficient wear-resistant hardened layer on raceways, greatly boosting resistance to pitting and spalling. Two cage structures are optional: stamped steel cages for conventional heavy loads and solid brass cages for high-temperature & severe impact harsh conditions. The separable bearing structure allows separate replacement of worn inner assembly or outer ring to cut spare parts cost for maintenance. Two clearance specifications are preset before delivery: standard clearance and reduced preload clearance for two assembly processes including fine preload adjustment for vehicle axles and fixed clearance installation for reducers.
All finished bearings pass impact load test, taper coaxiality inspection, hardened layer thickness flaw detection and clearance stability test to eliminate defective products with taper deviation, insufficient hardness and inconsistent roller size, ensuring stable long-term load-bearing operation of heavy-duty equipment.
Core Product Advantages
Tapered line-contact structure provides ultra-large combined radial & unidirectional axial load capacity for heavy impact load resistance.
Separable inner & outer ring design facilitates easy disassembly and overhaul; worn components can be replaced individually to save maintenance cost.
Deep carburizing quenched raceway with thick wear-resistant hardened layer prevents raceway spalling and pitting in dusty sandstone mining conditions.
Precision taper grinding for rollers achieves full contact with raceways to avoid eccentric load and edge breakage for extended service life.
Dual cage options: cost-effective stamped steel cages and brass cages for high-temperature severe impact working conditions.
Standard international overall dimensions for direct interchange with mainstream reducers, vehicle axles and engineering machinery on the market.
Pre-delivery clearance grading adapts to fine preload assembly for vehicle axles and fixed clearance installation for reducers.
Strong adaptability to lubricants mixed with sediment and impurities for higher fault tolerance of outdoor field engineering machinery.
Typical Application Scenarios
Hardened gear reducers, planetary reducers, large reduction gearboxes; front & rear axles, differential assemblies and hub bearings of heavy trucks, semi-trailers and passenger buses; jaw crushers, cone crushers, loaders, excavators and bulldozer transmission shafts for mining industry; steel rolling mills, metallurgical roller tables, port heavy conveyors; cement mixer trucks, traveling mechanisms of construction machinery.
Quality Assurance
NMT heavy-duty tapered roller bearings adopt exclusive heat treatment process for heavy-load bearings: precise control of bearing steel carburizing depth, quenching and tempering to stabilize metallographic structure for hard wear-resistant surface and impact-resistant tough core. Double-pass forming grinding and end finishing for tapered rollers guarantee consistent taper of the whole roller row. Stress relief treatment after cage stamping prevents deformation under impact load. Finished bearings are classified by assembly clearance according to application scenarios: small clearance for vehicle axles to facilitate preload adjustment and standard clearance for direct installation of industrial reducers. Delivered bearings feature outstanding compression and impact resistance for continuous operation under all-weather outdoor heavy-load harsh conditions.

Brand Strength
NMT Japan targets three fatal defects of ordinary tapered roller bearings: eccentric damage caused by taper deviation, easy spalling due to thin hardened layer and cage deformation under impact. Optimizations including deep carburizing heat treatment, precision taper grinding of rollers and high-strength cage structural upgrade enhance bearing heavy-load impact resistance and wear durability. We supply highly reliable heavy-duty bearings for reducer manufacturers, commercial vehicle maintenance factories and mining engineering machinery service providers to reduce abnormal axle noise, reducer gear damage and crusher spindle shutdown failures, cutting production suspension losses of heavy-duty equipment.
