NMT Tapered Roller Bearings Heavy-Duty Tapered Roller Bearings For Truck Axles, Reducers & Construction Machinery

Tapered roller bearings adopt a matching structure of tapered rollers and tapered raceways, capable of bearing ultra-large radial loads and unidirectional axial loads simultaneously with outstanding impact and overturning resistance. They must be assembled in reverse pairs to counteract axial force, and internal clearance is adjusted to adapt to various heavy-load working conditions. They serve as core heavy-duty supporting components for commercial vehicle drive axles, wheel reducers, construction machinery, large gear reducers and mine conveying equipment. Classified into single-row, double-row and four-row structures. Single-row tapered roller bearings are the mainstream for vehicle axles and gearboxes; double-row and four-row types are designed for extreme heavy-load scenarios in mines and large construction machinery.

Main model classification: 32900 narrow-section series, 32000 medium-section series, 32200 wide-body heavy-duty main series, 329/330/331/332 thickened heavy-duty series. Structures: single-row, double-row (TDI), four-row (TQO). Assembly mode: back-to-back paired assembly, axial clearance adjusted via shims for working condition adaptation.

Compared with cylindrical roller bearings, they achieve a substantial upgrade in axial load capacity to withstand axial impact from vehicle start-up/braking and bumpy construction machinery operation. Against angular contact ball bearings, their rated load and impact resistance are multiplied for low-speed heavy-load applications. The main disadvantage is low limiting rotational speed with severe heat generation at high speed, coupled with high precision requirements for assembly clearance adjustment. Excessive clearance causes impact wear, while insufficient clearance leads to rapid thermal seizure.

Heavy-duty trucks, loaders, excavators and large reducers operate under full-load impact load, muddy sand dust intrusion, alternating axial force from climbing & braking and continuous low-speed heavy-load operation. Inferior tapered roller bearings suffer inaccurate roller contour and raceway taper deviation, leading to eccentric force and unilateral spalling under heavy load. Insufficient material toughness causes roller fracture and cage fragmentation under bump impact. Simple sealing structure allows mud, sand and muddy water to enter raceways for abrasive wear, resulting in abnormal axle noise, overheating & oil leakage of wheel reducers, jamming and breakdown of construction machinery traveling mechanisms, bringing huge vehicle overhaul costs and downtime losses.

NMT tapered roller bearings cover full single-row standard models as well as customized double-row & four-row heavy-duty assemblies with unified taper calibration for all specifications. Manufactured with hardenability-enhanced carburized bearing steel via surface carburizing quenching + core toughness tempering, delivering high surface hardness for wear resistance and tough core to resist fracture. Precision contour grinding for tapered rollers strictly controls generatrix straightness to ensure even load distribution across all rollers. Superfinishing on tapered inner & outer raceways maximizes fitting degree to disperse contact stress. Thickened stamped cages enhance deformation and fracture resistance. Heavy-duty skeleton oil seals block muddy water and sand intrusion. Taper pairing inspection is completed before delivery for convenient paired assembly and clearance adjustment on site. All dimensions comply with national standards for direct replacement of original bearings for truck axles and construction machinery, applicable to new vehicle supporting, axle overhaul, reducer maintenance and construction machinery replacement.

Heavy-duty trucks, mining machinery and heavy-duty reducers are upgraded toward large-tonnage load capacity, all-weather operation on rough roads and long-cycle maintenance-free service. Conventional low-quality tapered roller bearings feature poor taper precision, unbalanced material hardness & toughness and weak sealing protection, causing roller breakage, early raceway pitting and rapid abrasive wear from mud ingress under heavy impact. They fail to meet demands of long-distance full-load transportation of heavy trucks, high-intensity site operation of loaders and 24-hour continuous heavy-load transmission of reducers. The market demands heavy-duty tapered roller bearings with high toughness, superior wear resistance and reinforced sealing.

Full-contour precision grinding of NMT rollers eliminates edge spalling caused by concentrated edge stress. Precise control of carburizing heat treatment balances surface wear resistance and matrix impact resistance. Large-diameter sealing lips fit tightly against shafts to block mud and sewage. Optimized oil grooves on roller ends retain grease under heavy load to reduce dry friction and overheating. Complete bearings are grouped by taper pairing for high matching accuracy of left & right bearings and easy clearance adjustment during assembly.

All finished bearings pass taper coaxiality inspection, impact fatigue bench test, muddy water sealing durability test and heavy-load temperature rise test to eliminate defective products with taper deviation, heat treatment defects and seal leakage, guaranteeing stable impact-resistant operation of heavy-duty transmission mechanisms.

Core Product Advantages

Tapered raceway & roller structure bears combined radial and heavy axial loads to fully absorb axial impact from braking and bumping.

Multiple cross-section options: narrow section for compact gearboxes, wide thickened type for extreme heavy load of vehicle axles and mining machinery.

Composite carburizing heat treatment delivers hard wear-resistant surface and tough inner core to avoid roller fracture and cage damage under heavy impact.

Precision tapered forming ensures uniform load on all rollers to prevent unilateral eccentric wear and local raceway spalling failure.

Heavy-duty skeleton oil seals block mud and sand from construction sites & roadways to greatly extend service life of field equipment.

Oil storage grooves on roller ends stabilize lubrication under low-speed heavy load and reduce thermal ablation risks.

Pre-sorting by taper pairing before delivery enables easy paired installation and shim clearance adjustment to lower assembly technical barriers.

Standard national dimensions support direct interchange with original bearings for heavy trucks, construction machinery and reducers.

Typical Application Scenarios

Bearings for front/rear axles, differentials and wheel-side reducers of heavy trucks, semi-trailers and dump trucks; heavy-load bearings for traveling axles and steering joints of loaders, excavators, bulldozers and road rollers; bearings for large gear reducers, planetary reducers and mine hoist gearboxes; low-speed heavy-load support bearings for mine belt conveyors, heavy-duty rollers and metallurgical rolls; drive axle bearings for passenger cars, agricultural tractors and harvesters.

Quality Assurance

NMT tapered roller bearings are forged integrally from carburized bearing steel with deep hardened layers for extended wear life. Tapered rollers are sorted by dimension to minimize dimensional error within one bearing unit. One-piece steel cages resist deformation and impact under heavy load. Adaptable to both grease lubrication and gear oil immersion lubrication. Single-row bearings can be freely paired in two units; double-row and four-row integrated assemblies are ready for direct installation. Fully applicable to low-speed heavy load, alternating axial impact and harsh muddy & dusty environments.

Product Range

32900 narrow-section series, 32000 medium-section series, 32200 main heavy-duty series, 33000/33100/33200 thickened heavy-duty series; single-row, double-row TDI, four-row TQO assemblies.

Brand Strength

NMT Japan resolves three typical failures of traditional tapered roller bearings: unilateral spalling from inaccurate taper, brittle fracture under impact and abrasive wear failure from simple mud-prone seals. Process upgrades including precision taper grinding, carburizing composite heat treatment and heavy-duty oil seal reinforcement deliver impact resistance, wear resistance and long-term mud-proof durability. We supply heavy-duty transmission bearings for axle manufacturers, heavy-duty truck repair shops, construction machinery service workshops, reducer manufacturers and mining equipment maintenance providers to cut abnormal axle overhaul, construction machinery downtime faults and reducer bearing burnout failures, reducing downtime losses for heavy-duty equipment operation and maintenance.
