NMT Thrust Roller Bearings Axial Heavy-Duty Thrust Roller Bearings For Large Presses, Slewing Bearings & Reducers
Thrust roller bearings are special heavy-duty bearings for pure axial loads, divided into thrust cylindrical roller bearings and thrust tapered roller bearings. The line-contact structure of roller end faces bears super-large axial pressure with strong rigidity and outstanding extrusion deformation resistance. They are often combined with radial bearings to realize integrated assembly of radial positioning and axial bearing capacity, widely applied in vertical equipment, pressure machinery, slewing supports, vertical heavy-duty reducers and other positions with concentrated axial force.
Main model classification: 81000 flat base thrust cylindrical roller series, 82000, 89000 thickened heavy-duty thrust cylindrical roller series; AXK gasket-type thrust needle roller bearings, thrust tapered roller bearings. Structures include single-direction thrust and double-direction thrust, which can be equipped with shaft rings, seat rings and gaskets to match different mounting bases, suitable for low-speed heavy load, continuous axial compression, alternating axial impact and high-temperature oil pressure working conditions.
Performance comparison: Compared with thrust ball bearings, the bearing capacity of roller line contact is 4~6 times that of ball point contact, which avoids crushing under heavy load and doubles fatigue life. Different from cylindrical roller bearings, it only bears axial force with accurate axial limit. Compared with tapered roller bearings, it can independently bear huge axial force without paired assembly to offset axial component force, simplifying the layout of vertical spindles. Disadvantage: low limiting speed, only suitable for low-speed operation, difficult lubrication and heat dissipation under high speed; coaxiality deviation of shaft will cause unilateral damage of rollers.
Hydraulic forging presses, vertical gear reducers, excavator slewing centers, port crane vertical shafts, cement vertical mills and large injection molding mold clamping mechanisms endure continuous axial tightening force, start-stop axial impact, rising hydraulic oil temperature and slight spindle deflection all year round. Inferior thrust roller bearings suffer from insufficient roller hardness, leading to roller flattening and fragmentation under heavy axial pressure. Shallow quenching layer on the raceways of shaft and seat rings causes raceway collapse and pitting peeling after long-term extrusion. Thin cage plates tear and scatter parts under alternating axial force. Poor flatness of the base surface leads to inclined force after assembly, resulting in spindle axial play, insufficient mold clamping force of presses, jamming and abnormal noise of slewing mechanisms, spindle vibration and jumping of vertical mills. The disassembly process for overhaul of heavy hydraulic equipment is complicated, and production line shutdown leads to huge losses.
NMT thrust roller bearings cover all specifications of single-direction, double-direction thrust cylindrical roller bearings and thrust tapered roller bearings, with a complete product range from thin gasket type to ultra-thick heavy-duty type. Made of high-toughness carburized bearing steel with integral heat treatment, the raceways of shaft rings and seat rings are deeply quenched to form hard surface for wear resistance and tough matrix to prevent overall cracking. Rollers are fully sized and graded with unified end flatness to evenly distribute axial pressure and avoid breakage from single-point overload. Thickened solid steel cages firmly fix rollers to prevent tearing and falling off under repeated axial impact. Precision grinding on the base end face ensures high fitting accuracy to avoid assembly eccentric load. Reserved expansion clearance for high-temperature conditions adapts to long-term high-temperature hydraulic oil environment. All overall dimensions comply with national standards for direct replacement during press maintenance, vertical reducer overhaul and construction machinery slewing mechanism renovation.
Heavy pressure equipment, vertical transmission equipment and large slewing construction machinery are upgraded toward large tonnage bearing capacity, long-term pressure retention without leakage and low failure rate for less disassembly. Ordinary low-grade thrust roller bearings feature thin wear-resistant raceway layer, soft roller material and weak cage structure, prone to raceway collapse and roller fracture under long-term high axial pressure. They cannot meet the demands of continuous mold clamping of forging presses, long-term grinding pressure of vertical mills and axial force during slewing braking of construction machinery. The market urgently needs long-life thrust roller bearings with high bearing capacity, impact resistance and high end face precision.
NMT adopts mirror precision grinding on the end faces of shaft rings and seat rings to eliminate machining tool marks, improve assembly coaxiality and evenly distribute load. Thickened deep quenching hardened layer resists indentation deformation under long-term high-pressure rolling. Reinforced integrally stamped cages enhance resistance to alternating impact. All finished bearings pass axial pressure resistance test, end face flatness inspection and roller hardness flaw detection to eliminate defective products with insufficient hardness, excessive flatness error and roller defects, ensuring stable axial force of vertical spindles, pressure equipment and slewing mechanisms and preventing spindle axial play failure.
Core Product Advantages
Roller line-contact bearing structure delivers far stronger axial load capacity than thrust ball bearings to resist crushing damage under large-tonnage high pressure.
Optional single-direction and double-direction structures for single-side tightening and bidirectional axial limit assembly needs.
Double deep quenching on raceways of shaft and seat rings achieves wear-resistant surface and impact-resistant matrix to avoid collapse deformation under long-term pressure holding.
Precisely matched rollers balance axial pressure distribution to eliminate fragmentation caused by single-point stress concentration.
Thickened integrated cages withstand reciprocating axial impact without cage fracture, roller scattering and shaft seizure.
Precision grinding on mounting base end face guarantees high assembly flatness to avoid unilateral wear induced by spindle eccentricity.
Excellent adaptability to low-speed heavy load, stable operation with lithium grease and hydraulic oil bath lubrication.
Standard national dimensions realize strong general interchangeability for direct replacement during maintenance of old equipment without base modification.
Typical Application Scenarios
Axial pressure-bearing bearings for hydraulic forging presses, four-column hydraulic presses and injection molding machine mold clamping; axial positioning bearings for vertical planetary reducers and vertical gearbox spindles; thrust bearings for slewing centers of excavators, tower cranes and crawler cranes; thrust bearings for main shafts of cement vertical mills, slag vertical mills and roller presses; axial limit bearings for large water pumps and vertical motors; axial thrust components for ship rudder shafts and large gate hoists; axial pressure bearings for heavy machine tool spindles and mill vertical rolls.
Quality Assurance
NMT thrust roller bearings adopt refined bearing steel raw materials to reduce internal impurities and improve extrusion fatigue resistance. Dual hardening treatment on raceways and rollers adapts to long-term static pressure holding and dynamic impact. Reinforced steel cages maintain stable structure against deformation in low-speed heavy-load vibration environments. Compatible with grease lubrication and circulating hydraulic oil lubrication, operating temperature ranges from -25℃ to 125℃, perfectly suitable for vertical equipment with continuous axial pressurization, reciprocating impact, high hydraulic temperature and slight spindle eccentricity.

Brand Strength
NMT Japan solves three common defects of ordinary thrust roller bearings: raceway collapse under high pressure, cage tearing under reciprocating impact and eccentric wear failure caused by assembly flatness deviation. Three core manufacturing technologies including deep quenching hardening process, precision roller sorting and high-precision end face grinding achieve ultra-high axial load capacity, impact fatigue resistance and excellent assembly adaptability. We supply thrust roller bearings for hydraulic equipment manufacturers, reducer producers, mining grinding equipment enterprises, construction machinery repair shops and heavy machine tool manufacturers to stabilize axial mold clamping force and spindle positioning accuracy, reduce axial play failures, extend equipment overhaul cycles and cut shutdown maintenance losses for heavy industry equipment.
